Room was spacious. The same can be said about its bathroom, except the management should look into its maintenance as we found out the flush was not working so well (we had to manually opened and closed its water source for the flush to be functional).
The aircond was working fine where although it was hot outside, we were kept cooled in the room all the time (we even had to turned it off in the morning for it was beyond cool at that time). The room was also equipped with remote-controlled fan (upon checking in, I was given three remote controls--for the fan, the aircond, and the tv).
The TV in the room, I think, was a great feature of the room, as it can play movies in my thumb drive very well with the audio/video quality not bad at all. We enjoyed watching all the movies in the room together as a family, in the comfort of the beds, as the TV was located right in front of the beds.
As for the foods, we had no complaint at all. Upon inquiring with the very friendly host at the receptionist, I brought my family to the famous Ikan Bakar Sri Tanjong at Taman Amalina. The restaurant, as mentioned in reviews, was an excellent choice for my family to have dinner. And nearby the hotel all sorts of food can be found right at the town.
I had no problem at all finding parking spaces. Everytime we went out, I had the convenience of parking right in front of the hotel every time.
One last note for improvement: the management should provide water heaters at a convenience location. We had to go the adjacent block just to get hot water for...
Read morePreviously I stayed at this property back in 2008 for work related. The main reason I choose this hotel because there was not much of choices back then. For being nostalgia, I choose this property as I have a wedding in Raub last week (23 Nov 2013).||||The Hotel from being just a two storey shoplot type hotel have expanded with another two storey and a bungalow homestay accommodation which is nearby. Located to a Muslim Chinese restaurant & a mom & pops sundry shop where you can get all the things that you need. Located in a quiet neighbourhood hence one will get a homely feel to it. 2km from the main centre of Raub so you need a car if you don't have any matters nearby.||Room was very basic but tolerable. TV channel was boring with local channels and the Fox Movies channel. Toilet was quite clean with hot & cold shower. There is water dispenser for hot drinking water outside your room which shared with other guests. Room ventilation was useless as it has no windows - get stuffy sometimes. Parking was free and secured with CCTV & 24hours security. Air cond was OK but there is fan in each room.My triple room cost us RM108 with RM20 refundable deposit. ||||There is other options in surroundings Raub like Hotel Jelai (triple room is RM128), K Design Hotel (RM98), Hotel Grandview (new hotel located in a new business centre) and also Laman Persona (starts at RM150 for a chalet but...
Read moreThe receptionist was very rude…specifically mentioned in Malay “tempah bilik murah nak cakap banyak” (English translation: book cheap room & talk too much).
Upon check-in the receptionist mentioned redeploy the heater & TV not working. However took the key to check the room & amazed with the condition on the room with almost 5 to 6 cockroaches in the room.
The housekeeping mentioned this is normal because of rainy season 🤦🏻♀️
Regardless less or more money paid for a service…the money is still money…why run a business when you are not capable to doing it.
Either change your mind or close your business. Very disappointed with the service…I just cancelled my booking & got a full refund...
