Last Nov i'm having lunch here with my three friends who came from Negeri Sembilan.
Servis air - One of my friend order Asam Boi Ais. Tapi dapat air asam boi yang warna macam air sarsi, masam and kurang rasa manis. Jadinya panggil salah seorang pekerja dan bagitahu dia "Air ni tak rasa manis, rasa masam je, tambah gula bagi manis." Tak lama lepas tu dia datang dengan air yang warna lebih kehitaman and bagitahu "Air ni memang macam ni kak, sebab kite guna kordial. Rasa dia memang macam tu, So saya dah tambah lagi kordial bagi pekat" Saya bagi arahan sangat simple, saya suruh tambah gula sebab nak kurangkan rasa masam. tapi dia boleh jawab macam tu and tambah lagi rasa masam kordial tu. At last malas nak cakap lebih. Bagi arahan simple pun tak faham. Air tu pun tak minum pun. Rasa bapak masam and pekat. Takkan la dia tak rasa dulu. Boleh pulak serve customer air yang rasa macam tu.
Kuah Ikan Patin Tempoyak - Kami order Ikan Siakap Stim Limau & beberapa side dish lagi. Disebabkan kawan tak pernah makan ikan patin tempoyak, masa ambil order tu, dia ada tanya, " Boleh bagi tak semangkuk/sikit kuah tempoyak dalam mangkuk, nak rasa kuah dia". And staff yang ambil order kata boleh. Tapi bila semua makanan dah sampai, kecuali kuah patin tempoyak tu. Kami panggil staff lain, tanya kuah patin tempoyak tak sampai lagi. Lepas tu dia jawab "Oh kuah sahaja tak boleh kak, akak kena beli dengan ikan sekali, kat sini kite tak bagi rasa kuah je. Kena ambil sekali dengan ikan" Kawan saya berkeras kata nak rasa je dulu. Pekerja tu insist kata tak boleh. Kitorang berempat terus berpandangan sesama sendiri and my friend terus cakap, "Kedekutnya kedai ni, kuah je pun. Kedai lain tak charge pape pun kalau taruk kuah je atas nasi. Kalau nak charge pun charge jela harga kuah. tak kisah pun nak membayar asalkan dapat merasa." Sebab dorang tak pernah makan patin tempoyak, baru nak merasa kuah. Kalau ambik ikan pun tak habis sebab lauk banyak dah order. Saya pun tak faham kenapa tak boleh ambil kuah tu. Nak suruh bayar kuah sahaja tak dek hal. Tapi mmg taknak tambah dah ikannya, lauk lain banyak. Tak rugi apa pun owner kalau ambik sikit kuah. Last2 kuah tu nanti buang jugak kalau ikan dah habis. Personally bagi saya, bagi jela kawan saya tu merasa kuah ikan patin tempoyak. Kalau sedap dia boleh bungkus or rekemen kat orang lain. Tapi tu la. Kedekut.
Dua kali bayar tapi harga berbeza - Salah seorang kawan lelaki saya bayar awal senyap2 untuk satu meja kitorang terus. Sebab kertas bil tu ada pada dia. Amount dalam RM100+. Tak lama lepas tu kawan perempuan pulak pergi kaunter tanya berapa total meja kami. And cashier tu tak bagitahu pun yang kawan kami yg lelaki tu dah bayarkan. Yang peliknya amount berbeza. Dia kata RM80+ pulak. Kawan saya terus bayar pakai debit card. Nasib baik kawan lelaki saya tu ternampak and terus tanya cashier. "Kak sy dah bayar kan tadi. Harga sekian2. Pulang balik duit kat dia" Barulah cashier tu terhegeh2 pulangkan cash. Ikutkan nak je tanya kenapa amount berbeza? Nak mintak justification. Meja kami depan cashier kot. Orang tak ramai takkan tak perasan meja kitorang dah bayar awal tu? Tapi malas nak buat teruk sebab masing2 takdek mood dengan servis kedai macam ni. Malu saya bawak orang luar makan makanan orang pahang tapi servis macam ni.
Additional : Saya order sayur kailan ikan masin, Sotong goreng tepung - dia bagi portion sorang je makan. Sayur ciput je. Sotong ada 4 potong je. Telur bungkus boleh pulak cukup portion untuk 4 orang. Mungkin la salah kami jugak tak cakap nak portion untuk 4 orang makan. Tapi common sense la, boleh je tanya - "Hidangan untuk berapa orang makan?" Sebab yang telur bungkus dia tanya and kitorang cakap untuk 4 orng makan. Takkan hidangan lain untuk sorang je makan. Bila sampai makanan tu alahai sedihnya portion macam tu. Tapi malas order baru sebab kejar masa & malas menunggu. Makan je apa yang ada.

Read moreDropped by for lunch, most dishes were already prepared. There was a fair variety like pais tempoyak and gulai tempoyak, though not too many options. There were also ulam, sambal belacan, and budu stations, but nothing really stood out.
The menu display showed lemak bakar and perut bakar, and when asked, the staff said it would be ready in 15 minutes. We finished eating around 11:50am, but were then told it would only be out at 12pm. Waited until 12:15pm still nothing. Quite frustrating.
Taste wise, pais tempoyak was more salty than flavourful, the tempoyak paste lacked depth. Masak lemak telur itik was one of the better dishes, nicely balanced with turmeric and coconut milk, though it could’ve been spicier. The cendawan goreng tepung was okay, a bit cold due to the nasi campur setup, but not too chewy. Drinks, budu, and ulam were average.
One major downside was the staff, some of them were unfriendly, with sour expressions and no smile at all. It really affected the dining experience.

Read morePlease improve your ordering system for takeout and customer service. Came at 2:30 (23 January 2023) and ordered patin steam. Been told that it will done in 30 minutes and decided to wait in the car (i have informed one of the staff) since the restaurant is quite full with dining customers. Came back at 3:30 to get the food and hoping it is done. However, no one give clarification on our food and turns out it has messed up with another order. Decided to cancel the order, after that suddenly our food is ready. Please make sure to have a good system that tally with the kitchen and the staffs need to be more attentive and not avoiding customers when there is miscommunication.
