Curry mee is one thing that is hard to get right - some people like it thick, some like it thin while the others prefer milky or some heavier in curry. We are so used to eat our favourite curry mee place that our taste buds gave adjusted to it. Come on.. in sure that you have your own place to get your fix whenever you want to lay your hands on a bowl of piping hot curry noodle right?

Many places have different style of serving - particularly ingredients and the curry broth. Which brings me to the famous Raub curry mee. They say the best curry mee in this town more famous for its durian, is located somewhere inside Kg Baru Sempalit. This village is like a maze and unless you ask, it's almost impossible to find it. But thank God that his son has decided to come out and strike on his own. Opening a restaurant in the new commercial area right next to the police station, it's easier to come here instead of the parents.

Curry mee always sell out faster than the normal soup or dry style noodle - you can literally see at least a bowl of curry noodle on each and every table. Here, all will go for curry pan mee (but you don't see my bowl has any noodle in it.. I'm on low carb lifestyle).

Instead, I asked to put more bean sprout (taugeh), curry chicken, and their Yong lies such as Fu chuk, taufu pok and lately.. yu fu 鱼腐 which is a blend of fish paste and taufu. But one thing I can't get enough of will be their crunchy fried Fu chuk. On default, I'll add extra small bowl of the fried fu chuk to mix into the curry broth.

My verdict - it might not warrant a drive especially to this town just for the curry noodle but if you happen to be around, and crave for curry noodle.. then this place is for you. And yes.. just call to enquire on availability first because they sell out pretty fast too (told ya that...
