Hotel Jelai Raub — Hotel in Pahang

The facilities all was good, our room is comfortable & clean with a great breakfast provided.

BUT!

We booked a room for 4 pax, and fully paid. from agoda we alrdy mentioned that we will arrive & chck in around 11pm-12 midnight but then our journey had some delayed so at 11.30pm we informed the hotel that we will arrive at 1-2am. When we arrived at 1.30 am, we need to wait almost 45minutes to check in!!!!!! The girl said there’s some problem with the system. All of us with the babies here need to “berkampung” at the reception!!! Just imagine we all the way from Penang, 5-6hours journey, need a fast rest & sleep need to faced this kind of problem!!

If yes after 12am chck in might happen this kind of issue, Supposedly, when we informed thru the whatsapp earliest, your side need to be prepare the room card to let others with the babies chck in to the room first & 1 person can wait. BUT NOPE!!! EVERYONE IS WAITING DOWN THERE. 45 MINUTES TO CHECK-IN from 1.30am!!!! While everyone is so tired with the long journey! Need to improve your hotel system. Hopefully this wont happened...

I'll visit raub yearly, as we are visiting our relatives there and this is our second time staying in this hotel.||the hotel is pretty basic. the location can be considered quiet but the sound proofing of the room are not good, so you can still hear people talking if they are loud or above level there's people stomping on the floor. but that's still ok.||there's lift in the hotel, which give us a lot of convenient as my granny is too old to climb any stairs and it's easier for us to transport our luggage up and down.||the service staffs are very polite, though they don't speak much English but they are patience enough to understand my broken Malay and explain slowly to me. thumbs up for that.||the only thing I can't really accept is their towels. they change the towels everyday but their towels are very old and it doesn't feel clean. but it's really my personal hygiene standard.||it will still be my first choice for my...

Probably one of the best options in Raub township despite the negatives. Room is clean and comfortable. Hotel is a convenient distance off the main road so no major traffic noise. However poor door to corridor offers no soundproofing. I made the mistake of travelling during school holidays so children screaming until 3am! ...not the hotel's fault but a better door would have reduced noise in room.||||No mosquito spray or coil and there was a mosquito in room which made for a bad night too. Hotel should really provide anti-mosquito measures given risk of dengue fever.||||Toast, jam, mee hoon and nasi lemak offered for included breakfast although nasi lemak had run out and not replenished when I arrived - very basic fare but lucky to have anything included for 2* hotel!
