Honestly, I have mixed feelings about returning to camp here. 🥸 Don’t get me wrong ah, the environment was a perfect 10. Sea of clouds in the morning, crisp cool air at night… even chanced upon some interesting forest residents apart from the adorable geese twins “patrolling” the grounds. All was fine except… our weekend stay coincided with a grand scale running event (starting line at Tentent Café, so you can imagine the crowd). That evening, the place turned into a rock out zone... with some drunken folks singing their hearts out (Wong Fei Hong theme song among others) till the wee hours, while another bunch of younger campers on the lower platform partied away like nobody’s business. Toads don't even stand a chance to make a sound, imagine that! Despite that, and the lack of running water in the bathrooms plus the tired-looking platform with hazard flooring, we just persevered through the two nights. The racing noise down the road was something I was prepared for after reading the reviews here, but the big event was totally unexpected. You really need to pray hard if you’re coming on weekends! Otherwise, save your sanity and come on weekdays — you’ll have uninterrupted water supply and the peace to enjoy nature without the man-made crowd. The only time you can truly hear the cicadas is around 6 a.m., when everything suddenly falls silent before the sunrise. This was the only thing that we came here for. Having said, I truly applaud the hardworking lady staff who kept checking every sink for running water, and the team who came by daily to clear rubbish. We also enjoyed the fresh durians sold along the way to Tentent Café. As for convenience, driving up to Gohtong Jaya or the hilltop isn’t as direct as one might think. You’ll need to make your way down first before heading back up again. So yes, overall, mixed feelings. The place is stunning and the staff are dedicated, but the noise and crowd can really test your patience. Would I return? Maybe… but only on a quiet weekday.

Was there for 2d1n. The entrance to the site is currently being rebuilt /rerouted hence I couldn't get my car in and had to park outside. CO came out to pick me up and help to to transport my gears to the campsite. I booked G9 and the lot is very big. Some part of the ground is a bit soft, hence a 30cm peg is recommended. If you are here for the view, G1-10 are recommended. G11 onwards are new lot on lower tier, recommended for adult campers who want good view but not recommended to family with young children as it is by the slope. Platform areas are recommended for those who wants shade and view. There are a few newly added platforms. The views and shade are grade, but not so convenient to unload gears and going to the toilet as you need to go up uneven steps. Washroom near G lots are seperated to male and female, recently upgraded, with water heater. Water pressure is good. However, the design for the squatting toilets is a bit odd for me. The position is a bit off, I dont have a picture here. The toilet is brightly lit at night, but the other campsite area can be a little dark. Remember to bring your torch light. The breeze and temperature at night was about 20degree as it rained a little throughout the night. As I was there during weekday, the noise from sports car at night was still bearable, but the dogs barking and fighting can be a challenge for light sleepers. There were some tiny bugs around and was bitten for a bit. Those who are sensitive to insects bite should get your insect repellent and cream ready at hand. Overall, I would come back again, but only on weekdays. Thank you CO.

Good: owner is a friendly, walking ard talking to visitor, taking picture. lovely weather(night), nice place, good location, 15mins to bukit tinggi, 99mart/KKmart. Story: during booking n payment, were told first come first serve basis, no noise after 9:30pm. paid for two person. 1. came early, no one attend u, juz explore urself. 2. came at 8am (earliest check-in hour), found an empty slot, but reserved by someone, who took 5 slots. trying to get help but no officer here. btw, all nice slots are taken with reserved!! 3. if u lucky, u get neighbour watching movie with projector n speakers, u get free movie at 10:30pm. 4. if u lucky, u get free Live music (ppl singing) at 10:30pm. 5. if u lucky, u hear every single word chit-chat front/back at 10:45pm. 6. if u lucky, u get two rottweilers (chained) as neighbour. 7. if u lucky, u get car head lamp pointing at your tent any hour. 8. if u lucky, u get ppl shouting for names at 11:30pm. 9. if u lucky, u get kids running around with laughter at 11:30pm. 10. if u lucky, u smell car exhaust for hours as people sit in the car for aircon. 11. if u lucky, u get visitors IN/OUT at any hours. 12. if u lucky, some of d above last till lateeee night. 13. extra, dogs barking next to tent from 2-4am. summary: a good campsite for the young. do not expect to get silent night before 2am. do not expect to have quiet camping experience at saturday night, as the night is still young. a nice campsite but not properly managed. suggestion: properly manged slot for customer. fixed slot by categories, 1-2ppl, 2-4ppl, 4-8ppl, family, pet-friendly corner.
