Hidden gems. Located downhill of Genting Highlands (old road) nearby Genting Sempah. The road is a little bit bumpy about 400 metres from the main entrance, ample parking spaces before the restaurant, natural environment, quite a number of tables, nicely decorated wooden structure with a nice view surrounding the restaurant and everything seems natural. The staff is very polite, friendly, helpful and efficient. Services are great and fast. The restaurant is quite famous and crowded during lunch time, weekends and public holidays. No bookings allowed, first comes first serve. Plenty of food choices to choose from their menu with quite reasonable prices, ingredients and food are super fresh. Food tastes good, portions are reasonably huge depending on the number of people.
The place is lit up in the evening with simple decorations lighting but it gives the impression of having your meal somewhere like those famous restaurants in China. Since the restaurant surrounding areas are natural, you may feel and enjoy the natural beauty of the surrounding with fresh air, calmness and cool breeze. Even though the short driving distance from the main road junction towards the restaurant is a bit uncomfortable due to bumpy road conditions, one will be enlightened upon reaching...
Read moreChinese sea food cuisine restaurant.
In nature surrounding with trees flower and down stream water canal, decorative lanterns, wooden 🪵 & bamboo🎍 structure, such a cozy environment.
Variety of sea food and chef recommended dishes which taste great. Recommended salted egg king prawn 🦐🍤 & bamboo steam tofu (rough translate) Price is fair, average Rm40 per pax for such delicious meals.
Crowded during weekend. Tips: try to take the number queue asap even before found a parking. The road towards the restoration is small mountain road drive up hill, is very narrow and hard to give way for counter direction vehicle not even mention to make a U-turn, parking are also limited, can just park along road side as long as not blocking the passage. Not a full tarmac road, might be muddy after rain, but still drivable even a sedan or small wagon. However there are some person in charge to control the vehicle's entering the road to prevent complete jammed the entire road i guessing.
We arrived at 530pm have took the number queue and wait for about 1 hour and 10min to been seated. And the dishes just served within fifteen to twenty minute which is quite acceptable, thier staff are friendly polite to customer. You may avoid the peak hour if you got no patience for the queue.
In overall I would recommend this place as must try for those sea food lover, and chinese cuisine fans. And don't forget to bring along...
Read moreMy night at the restaurant started out just fine at the beginning, however little did I know, things were about to take a turn for the worse when a huge myriad of insects decided to join me for dinner. It first started with the Lala soup I ordered, which had a beetle in it. I overlooked it, and did not finish the soup. Then a moth landed on me, and strange insects were falling onto my head. Little did I know the horrors of that night had just begun, and those were merely the tip of the iceberg of what I already thought was a horrifying experience. The true highlight was a huge beetle falling straight into my plate. That was the last straw for me. after that, me and my friends stood up and left despite not finishing our foods. I’ve never experience anything quite like it. It has got to be the worse dining experience in my life. I felt nothing but uneasy throughout my dining experience. Yes I’m a completely compromising customer when it comes to ants or small insects in my food. However, when it comes to huge insects incessantly dropping, I draw a line there. Also found the need to write about my experience here mainly because of the traumatic experience. To be fair, the food did taste good, however you won’t be seeing me stepping into this restaurant ever again. Just a tip for people who want to dine here at night;Don’t sit near...
