Came here because of the Google review 4.0 but end up disappointed like mad. We ordered about 5 dishes in total. Lala Soup Fishhead Curry Salted Egg Squid Stir Fried Sambal Potato Leaves Onion Omelet

The food presentation was good but once tasted it, I couldn't be bother to take picture for other dishes already. The most disappointed were the Lala soup, the lala (clam) came were not fresh, there was sands inside the lala that they didnt clean it nicely. The soup was rather plain and tasteless compared to the imagined strong ginger with wine taste of soup. Next dish was the salted egg squid, the squid was hard and tender, I think if elderly with soft teeth would have it broken after biting it.

The potato leaves is good! Curry fish head so so, it is actually mixed vegetables with fish head curry. So yeah its fine. Onion omelet is ordinary.

Price is definitely on the high side in Bentong/Bukit Tinggi, 4 person for the on-top order list - RM220++ . But for the atmosphere, I'll give it a 2 stars for the nice chilling weather...

Ordered: Ming Xia (明虾）、curry boar pork 山猪肉、fried sotong炸苏东 They gave us normal prawn 草虾。Asked the boss to come, they said they do not have ming xia。It's fine if you do not have the prawn we want, but it is a liar if you did not tell us that you do not have the ming xia. If we were informed, then we will not place the order.

The curry boar pork has average taste, quite salty. Most parts are those tendon, which are not chewable. Portion is very small.

Fried sotong has so-so batter, if you are a batter lover. But I am someone who focus on the real ingredients -- the sotong. It is too tired to chew it off. So hard.

I talked to the lady who took our order, and she just did not care much. Talked to the boss, he also like... oh... Saw a few of outstation cars/visitors. Hope you all won't follow my steps to visit...

It is a cooling place to have a Chinese food especially in family style (sharing dishes with a few people). It is located next to one of the main road from Genting Highlands to Genting Sempah. Signboards have been setup along the road from the Genting Sempah R&R to the restaurant itself. Surrounded by trees, it gives a good view of nature and atmosphere (except the exhaust noise from those moving vehicles since it is next to the main road) to have a meal together. The food was cooked well and served rapidly. The staff members there were friendly and the one who took my order was good in providing suggestion when certain food wasn't available. Thanks to her, I managed to try its braised spiced wild boar and the 田七叶 (its texture tastes like the emperor's leaf) . Besides, she provided genuine feedback in terms of the food portion.
