JV HOTEL @ Bandar Tasek Mutiara — Hotel in Penang

My 1st visit. In all honesty, this hotel deserve a 4.5 (since dont have .5 so i put 5) here is what I LIKE (standard room with window RM68); #Friendly staff #Value for money rate #Clean room #Good bed and comes with 4 pillows (my room that is) #Plenty of parking bays #Got park infront of hotels #Near petrol pump #Food is nearby, but with transport can go into town #toilet is clean and acceptable, even thou the pipe is exposed and abit akward for my liking.

HOWEVER #AIRCOND FILTER DIRTY! had to clean it myself (yes im an aircond guy.. didnt call staff coz i can do it myself.. the point is house keeping need to check every time clean room) this is the only drawback of this review. In all of my visit to hotels (excluding high end hotels on my other acc review) very few that have clean aircond filter which reflects the work ethic of the house keeping crew.

No window in room. Not suitable for claustrophobic guests. Basic, clean room. Bed ok, pillow very soft, cannot support the head well. Aircond functioning well and quiet. My only grouse is the not so nice smell coming from the toilet which practically permeates into the room. I believe the plumbing system is flawed as there is no venting system build-in.
