Lux Hotel — Hotel in Perak

Trip: 18-19 Aug and 29-30 Dec 2019 Single Room.

First Impression: Simple, comfy and easy.

Likes: Very clean room and nearly clean toilet, basic room facilities, functional aircond, wifi and water pressure + heater, filtered water dispenser at the lobby, lobny is welcoming with luxurious-looking wooden door, easy-fast check-in process, nice and friendly staff, good location with nearby local eateries, 7E, clinic, liquor store and workshops. Petrol station, Mcd and Rapid Mall are all less than 5 minutes drive.

Dislikes: Power plug is located far from the bed and foot matt is not water absorbant. Toilet cleanliness can be improved though.

Bonus Point: Toilet is huge! Floor room is well polished! Corridor floor in each floor is very well-polished too! Plus, they provide a bottle of Blue mineral water. Very rare for a budget hotel to give a mineral water. Good job to the janitors.

TWO THUMBS UP: They use AKEMI-UCHI towels! Now this is extremely rare for a budget hotel (in my experience though).

Suggestions: Bring your own sandal and wire extension.

Room generally clean but housekeeping will not be done daily unless you inform them before hand.. some of amenities in room not working well and only a small table placed in room. should be a bigger table and towels are sparing given got to exchange old towels for new when there is no need for it. Iron hair dryer and kettle should be placed in room instead of requesting for it at reception upon check in. The coffee machine near the reception is not working most of the time and need servicing all the time. no enough styrofoam cups made available at the coffee machine run out everytime and never replaced fast enough and room cleaner staff do not know how to make a bed properly.. ||||do not recommend this hotel highly just before...

Location is great. Standard queen room is clean but small. I got a windowless room. The furniture is very minimal. Only a small desk and a stool. Not enough hook to hang your clothes. Water pressure of the shower is strong. A bottled water is provided. No kettle in the room. But they provide paper cup and drink at the lobby with cuckoo water dispenser. The water got odd smell. You have to take the remote control for aircond and tv and also towels yourself during check in and check out. The front desk staf is friendly. They also have elevator. Only one tv channel. Car...
