The last time I was in Kangar was back in 2004. With no idea on which hotel should I stay for the night, I ventured out in TA and found this property – Top 5 and with reasonably good reviews.||||Booking||This is the first time I was asked for a deposit payment in order to secure a booking. Bureaucratically it has to be made into their official account and the transfer details has to be emailed officially. No deposit equal to no booking. It really troublesome but as Kangar offer limited options, I politely obliged.||||Location||Perfectly suitable for different type of guests- guest who dependable to public transports or guest who came with their own. The property is located near to taxi station and just walking distance to inter cities bus station – really convenient for me as I came with reliable ETS train. The property has it own parking space which is safe and convenient. Restaurants offering local menus are just nearby.||||Room||Rooms are spacious and well organized but I sensed the floor were quite dusty. Toilet was OK as it looks just been renovated 2-3 years ago. With a price of RM118 for 2 single beds with breakfast, the room equipped with the normal amenities. Pillow was a bit hard but I managed to dozed off soundly. Read morei'm staying here for 5 days on a business trip. this hotel expect full payment upon check in and they charge me RM100 to book the room. basically once i step in here i'm locked for 5 days because of the full payment.||1st of all the lady and men at the reception area is not friendly and rude. once i check in they didnt even ask my ic, they immediately ask for my credit card once i told i had booking and mentioned my name. no ic verification etc. straight payment.||the room was quite badly maintained. aircond was not cold and just air was blowing. i complaint to them and they said will service it. but when i check after back in the evening, no signs of repair. just warm wind was blowing. i request to change room and the receptionist rudely replied no rooms left. if you want, you can take the room with 2 queen size bed with a higher price. and i refused as i dont want to pay more for this kind of useless facility and bad hotel condition.||the hair dryer was not functioning and i didnt even bother to ask for replacement because i dont want to face the receptionist.||breakfast was below average and rather bad. ||i really made a mistake and stuck in this hotel for 5 days. i never had this bad experience even in rural areas. i've stayed in quite a number of places due to my travel base nature of job and this is the worst hotel. zero...
