RECOMMENDED for Single, Couples or Groups but not families.||My first time at the Malaysian MotoGP, so I decided to stay near the track and this was about the best I could do without spending quadruple+||It worked out well, however the description of the hotel is a little over rated. For a low rate I got a queen bed (firm/hard) blankets and pillows, all clean, a desk with a few power points, a place to hang half a dozen garments. The bathroom is a wet room with immersion heat shower and a toilet, the sink was loosely fitted to the wall as was the shelf above it and looked unstable but did the job.||I didn’t see many mosquitoes and no cockroaches so it seems cleanliness is important. In the hall way there is a filtered water machine for hot and cold water.||The hotel is alongside a major road with a LOT of noise especially at the front of the hotel where my room was so ear plugs are a must. Or a room further back.||The staff are mostly pleasant, they could explain a bit better things but coax them and you will get what you need.||The major plus point for me was the transport service, it is a little more than a taxi but there are not many taxis in that area. I could arrange it day or night at a fixed price or 40RM to the track and call for pick up from the track too. During race weekend I’m sure a taxi will cost you more. I had 45 minutes ride back on Saturday due to rain and much more pleasant not watching a meter. NOTE: careful they don’t try to take some other client to airport then you to the track, this takes nearly an hour.||The local area is small but there are a number of very local restaurants within meters offering a variety of very local dishes. Not good for someone picky but if you are well travelled and feel adventurous it all looked and was tasty and clean (my tummy was pretty good all weekend). There is a green fronted restaurant to the left walking out of the hotel that does some basic western food. Two street vendors offering nice burgers and a satay stand. In case you don’t want to risk it there is a 7-11 and a petrol station for instant noodles and snacks, also amenities. And another local supermarket.||As a summary I’d say again:||It’s a bed, a shower and a clean place to hangout between being a the track||Enough places to eat for a few days but take snacks and food and you’ll be fine.||There are no bars restaurants or off licences so pick up plastic cups and something at duty free and the local restaurant will give you ice.||Take ear plugs, blow up pillows perhaps, your own hotel slippers. I’d recommend a cup and cutlery if you plan to take food back to the room.||Oh the internet works quite well, not always strong signal but you could watch a movie on your tablet.||Enjoy your stay guys, don’t expect too much but...

Read moreStayed there for a night in February with my wife and son.||It's a simple hotel like many others so nothing too special there. What made it great for us was the helpful staff. They told me the best ways to get to and from the hotel, lent us a blow drier and were generally very helpful and welcoming. We were also afforded a late check-out, which we appreciated very much.||The hotel is located about 15 min drive from the airport. For those of us without a car, there's a bus that takes you to the hotel (2MYR, less than 5 min walk to the bus station) or you can order the hotel transfer (40MYR) if you can't be bothered with the bus. We took the hotel transfer there (due to miscommunication) and later took the bus to and from. Note that Google maps is wrong about the bus - it takes less than 20 minutes to the airport. The bus starts running very early (I saw one leaving before 6am) so unless you've got a crazy early flight it got you covered.||The hotel is a normal economy accommodation. We booked a room for three, and got one for four people (1 double and 2 single beds). It was nice and clean, surprisingly spacious and there was a TV and enough outlets for charging. The beds were comfortable and our room was very quiet.||Nothing bad really comes to mind. The bathroom door was a bit tough to lock and the shuttle was expensive but that's just nitpicking. OYO website offered us a better price than booking.com, but by that time we were already on our way and it wasn't a...
