We just had our wedding here last Saturday. We found out Geno Hotel at career fair and chose here on Dec 2018 due to its pretty flyers, grand and beautiful ballroom as well. But the service here is really sucks and the management is really very bad. During actual wedding day: nobody standby during the wedding, we cant find anyone for help during the night nobody come to stage to help us when the mic has no sound during the toasting session, our emcee need to shout during the toasting session and luckily have mic from our live band team before play video, emcee asked for lights off but nobody help on that and need our friend to go up the room to ask for that sound system- the mic/sound cannot be hear at the back of the ballroom during the toasting and activity session food services - very slow and delay until 1130pm, and waiters keep want to keep the plate even the food haven't finish and the next meal not being served soon nobody give us an apologize after the dinner and follow up with us, even we have gave feedback above but just get a general reply from “assistant”. Just to be fair, the good things are the food taste and quality is very good and the ballroom is very grand, pretty and comfortable as well. But even though how good is the food and the ballroom, the services are really important and we have already paid so much for that. To be frank, we almost lost our patient to geno hotel before the actual day. The person in charge (sales manager) have already resigned and change many times, and we have already deal with FIVE different person and we have already lost our confident to this hotel and need to repeat and discuss the wedding details to different person again and again. Even during the last week of our wedding, we have been informed that the forth manager we dealed with already resigned and we need to deal with the new 5th manager. We can’t turn down our booking because we have trusted geno hotel and have paid the full amount of the expenses before the actual wedding day and we have sent out invitation to our guests as well. The most funniest thing is before one day of our wedding day, we have been informed there is another coordinator will be help on the actual day, but we never see him during our actual day, and after the wedding our feedbacks were being replied by this new guy who we never met during our day at all and the 5th manager seems like missing again. We see no action is taken for this poor management in this hotel. We just feel this is kinda wasted if this pretty hotel which serving good food is being poor rated because of the lousy management and poor services. One more thing is we have being adviced by people in charge to not take viking table for many times, but at first we have been attracted by the viking style at your flyers and the first manager we dealed with promised that this can be done so we only decided to choose geno hotel. But after that, we have been persuaded to not take this style due to many reasons. We can understand those valid reasons but if you can’t take this and not confident on this, please do not display at your flyers and use this as your marketing strategy.

Upon check in, staff was not professional in handling customers.
Food: Food provided was at world class disaster. Breakfast they served me twice Porridge. That two days of porridge was probably my worse nightmare. They actually serve me PLAIN, I repeat; PLAIN porridge with NO SEASONING, NO Side Dishes, 2 slice of Yau Char Kuey, NO SALT, NO CHICKEN STOCK, NO SOYA SAUCE, NO PEPPER to go along.
My 2nd Porridge for breakfast was no difference drinking water & swallowing plain rice. This time I was served FISH PORRIDGE, again NO SEASONING, NO Side Dishes, , NO SALT, NO CHICKEN STOCK, NO SOYA SAUCE, NO PEPPER.
Lunch- I was then served butter chicken, or rather I would Name it SALTED CHICKEN.
All my meals that comes with "White rice" is never cooked. If this hotel require someone to teach them how to cook simple WHITE RICE, please let me know. I will teach for FREE. Your Rice served is DRY, undercook and at the lowest quality available in the market.
The Chef really deserve a standing ovation for the unbelievable talent working in a FOUR-STAR hotel.
ROOM.
The moment I check in, upon washing my hands, I am welcomed with a leaking sink. Putting my head below the sink was a shock of my life to find the sink outlet pipe was simply tape with black muskin tape.
Bath Towel.
I was given a BURNT bath towel. Having to solve it, I requested for another bath towel. To my surprise, the staff took almost 24 hours to send me a bath towel but that is not the highlight. The "NEW" bath towel has a huge LOGO in it stated "LEXIS". Geno Hotel has no budget in getting their own bath towel? not only that, the bath towel is torn up on the sides.
Service Staying in this 4-star hotel makes no difference from staying in a budget MOTEL. You get service screw BANGING your doors upon delivery of Breakfast / LUNCH / Dinner. Not once but upto 3 times. FYI, the doorbell is working perfectly but the staff decides to bang the door instead.
Apart from that, having items such as food delivered to your room will always be the LAST priority. As they were told, we have ordered food from outside and that would be the guest's dinner delivered to the hotel doorstep at 6 pm, the staff would only deliver upto your room by 9 pm.

Read morePoor service from the events team. I first emailed them back in dec 2022 to ask about their wedding packages and a staff replied me. I checked with him on the availability of my date and he said that there is a tentative booking but whoever pays first would get the ballroom. At that point it was still alright as replies were fairly prompts. After a couple a emails I requested for a ballroom viewing and didn't get a reply back. Only after 3 emails did I get a reply from another staff to set a time for viewing as apparently the previous staff left. Went to the hotel to view the ballroom and discussed packages, and at that point the PIC informed me that they are going to be at the upcoming wedding fair in klcc and told me to wait as I may get a better deal but at that point they apparently still don't know what the new package would be. She told me I can block the date first then come to the wedding fair to look for her. So I did, and lo and behold the price not only increased, the date I wanted has been booked! When I asked her about it apparently the person already booked it earlier. Wow. What a waste of my time! When I asked previously I was informed that I could still get the ballroom if I was the one who confirm and paid first, then I was told to wait for the fair and they would block the date for me. So after waiting and making an effort to head down to klcc only to be told it has been booked?? No apologies whatsoever from them as well.
Do beware if you are ever booking an event with them. I just feel that their team isn't very reliable and information isn't upfront and honest to customers. The way they act is as if like they don't really want your business. If they had just told me that it has already been booked and not the rubbish of whoever pays first would get it and ask me to wait, I wouldn't have wasted my time and went and look elsewhere. Now I have to hunt for another venue and have wasted precious time...
