Stayed at M Design, a simple and small hotel in a shop lot, for one night. The room that I booked was Double Superior. ||||Pros:||1) Check in and check out are fast||2) Room design is not bad.||3) Towels are clean, without weird smell.||4) Air conditioner is cooling.||5) Rain shower is very strong.||6) Water dispenser is available.||7) 2 two complimentary bottles of water are provided in each room.||8) The room has a mini fridge and a safety deposit box.||9) Staffs are friendly.||10) The hotel is located in between Giant and Jusco within driving distance. So, the location is considered good only if you have your own transport.||||Cons:||1) The room was unbelievably small, by far the most cramped hotel room I have ever been in.||2) The cleanliness is only fairly acceptable as hair was found on sticky floor. ||3) Although the bed is comfortable to sleep, pillows are paper thin and yellowish. ||4) The 2-person room comes with breakfast set for 1 person but I was told that the cafeteria is not operating anymore and hence breakfast is no longer provided. This is how a boutique hotel handles a "broken" promise. ||5) Air-Cond was very noisy, only from mid night until morning.||6) The room has a nice TV with very few and blurry TV channels.||7) Booking fees must be paid in full in advance. Otherwise, go some else. Therefore, I was "forced" to pay RM110 for Double Superior one month plus before the stay. However, upon checked in, only I realized they are doing Raya promotion and the room rate was discounted by RM20 -.-" ||8) The hotel has 4 parking slots only. First come first serve. If you check in late, then you have to park your car in front of other shops at your own risk as the shop lot building is situated at a quiet area and no security guard is hired to take care of guests cars. ||10) Bathroom has no toiletries but only 2-in-1 shampoo.||11) The bathroom is connected to the room (see the photo). If anyone is doing his/her business in the bathroom, the room will be infected by the smell.||12) If you need any help, get ready to be rejected by the staffs. I requested for 2 extra pillows but was rejected for the first 2 times due to the reason that only 1 staff was working at that time. Only after I offered to take care of the counter temporarily, the staff was willing to go upstairs to get my pillows. ||||Upon checked in, I was first given room 209. However, bathroom's water trap was stuck. After taking shower, the bathroom is flooded. After complaint, then I was given room 205. The next morning, after checked out, I was told by my girlfriend that she was awaken in the mid night by "someone" touching her feet for...
Read moreTravelled alone on 21/11/16 on business trips. Checked in at approximately 6 pm. ||||Read some poor reviews in TripAdvisor before booking, only to be pleasantly surprised upon checking in. The staff at reception counter was nice, although not too keen on knowing their guests. ||||The room was cosy and spacy enough for a couple. Although faint smell of cigarette greets you upon arrival. The bed was not properly prepared, not too clean either, with hint of dusts on the floor. I guess they left the room unchecked for a while. Tables was also well-worn too and needs to be replaced. The safe box in my room was unserviceable and common ironing facility was well-used, although the iron was good and did not burn your shirt up, like another budget hotel that I visited in the same area. The toilet was modern-looking. Wifi connections was superbly fast (in fact I'm using it to write this review). Both bed and pillows is comfortable too. Lots of eateries around and sundry shop available across the street.||||Overall, my stay was average, but I do recommend other budget travellers looking for a nice night of rest to stay here. I for one, would...
Read moreWorst customer service I had ever experienced.
Trying to book the hotel for next week. The guy on the phone requested to bank in initial payment, which was fine to me. However, when I was trying to get the details of the bank account, he hung up the phone as he couldn't pronounce the bank account name properly. When I called again to complain, the lady says she couldn't do anything.
Received a call again few days later. Asked me if I've banked in the money. I told them the account number does not match the hotel name. She just reply "It's alright, I'll just cancel your booking."
I would thought this hotel is good as I've went there once, but there's no room vacant. And the impression of 1 of the owner was quite polite.
However, this incident left a bad impression of this hotel. I wonder what will happen if I stay and request for something...
