My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 1 night at the cost of RM75. The room that we booked was Standard Double Room. ||||The hotel is in a shop lot. Next to it is a convenient shop and at the corner of the shop lot is a 24-hours Mamak restaurant. So, you can get almost anything you need without having to travel too far away from the hotel. The hotel is also walking distance to AEON Jusco at Equine Park. About 1km away from the hotel is another hypermarket – Giant. Although the hotel doesn’t have its own private parking, there is plenty of public car parks right in front of the hotel which are all free of charge. ||||Inside the hotel was a small counter which was taken care by 1 staff only. Check in was fast and only a deposit of RM30 was required upon checking in. We were given a room at the 1st floor. Since the hotel doesn’t have a lift, we had no choice but to carry all of our luggage up to our room using stairs. ||||The room was clean and it is a little bigger than it looks like in the photo. The bed was comfortable to sleep. However, the 2 pillows provided were paper thin. So, we requested for 2 additional pillows and they were immediately sent to our room. Thumbs up to the efficient staff. The area in between the bed and bathroom is spacious enough to rest all of our luggage. There were side table at each side of bed and a foldable table mounted on the wall right in front of the bed. Therefore, although the room looks small, it is not small actually as it has plenty of areas for us to put our stuffs.||||Inside the bathroom is a combination of shower and toilet area. The sink is separated from the bathroom and it is mounted on the wall outside of the bathroom but next to the entrance. The bathroom was clean and it comes with a rain shower, with an excellent shower pressure. In fact, this is the part of the room that we liked the most! We also used the 2 towels provided in the bathroom because they looked clean and smelled good. 2-in-1 bath gel was also provided in the bathroom. However, one negative thing about the bathroom is that it lacks of hooks. There was only 1 hook in the bathroom! After hanging our towel on the hook, there is no place to hang our clothes and underwear. ||||The room was also provided with 2 bottles of drinking water. Water dispenser is available around the stairs area. Wi-Fi speed in the room was average. TV had a number of channels but with poor reception, especially the 8TV channel. Its Air-Cond was cold. The room was quite quiet the whole night we were there. ||||Overall, given the price we paid for the room, we were very satisfied with our stay at the hotel. We would definitely...
Read moreI stayed at the hotel for 1 night at the end of April and I booked a Standard Double Room. Despite the fact that the booking was made before the launch of GST and the rate published on the website (booking.com) at that time was RM75 only, upon check in, I was charged RM80 because of the 6% GST. This is really disappointing. The reason I would say so is that, during the same trip, I stayed at another hotel (Lavender Inn) at Permas Jaya, Johor Bahru. Although the booking was also made before the launch of GST, upon check in, I was told that the hotel will absorb the 6% GST for all customers who made their bookings before the launch of GST. In other words, Putra One Avenue Hotel is a hotel that is willing to lose its customers just for RM5! Unbelievable!||||After check in, I had to stay in the room for another hour before I went to the airport to fetch my girlfriend. Having TV and Air-Cond turned on, and lying on the bed with the best position but ended with nothing to watch. Luckily, I only stayed there for 1 night. While lying on the bed, I found the two pillows given in the room were paper-thin, so I went to the counter and requested for two additional pillows but I never received them. What I received was a "sorry" in the next day when I was about to check out the hotel early in the morning...||||Back to the story, after making the request, I went back to the room and lied on the bed. Suddenly, I realized that I was still sweating. Omg! I am still sweating in an Air-Cond room! Immediately, I searched for the remote control trying to adjust the temperature, but find only 2 buttons on it, one for controlling the speed of the fan and another one for switching on/off the fan, meaning that, the Air-Cond is not an Air-Cond at all but a fan that is shaped like an Air-Cond because it cannot blow cold air! The room was not like that during my previous visit! What happened to the hotel???||||The bathroom is another joke. When I was in the bathroom and ready to take shower, regardless of turning the wall shower faucet to the left or to the right, I only got cold water. After a few tries, I just gave up with a cold shower in the mid night. When it was my girlfriend’s turn to take the shower, she told me that there were two water faucets on the wall near to the rain shower: one is for the hot water supply while another one is for the cold water supply; and "someone" had already turned off the hot water supply. Do the hotel really need to do until that extent just for sake of cutting cost?||||In conclusion, since this hotel do not concern so much on the quality of the rooms and services, I'll never come back to the...
