Just like the Johnny Cash song... I've been everywhere man, I been everywhere.... When I travel I usually stay in Hilton's property but not here in Aguascalientes Mexico. The staff are incredibly talented, generous and friendly. I am amazed at how resourceful and responsive they are. They truly care about their and I always "Express" my gratitude with in turn being generous to them with gratuities. Usually the travel on the road is gruelling so the day starts with meeting Luz (She truly is a light, a beacon of warm) greeting me with coffee and an amazing breakfast. It is so noticeable and noteworthy for Betty to come by ask how is your stay with us? Christian is always smiling and once I was struggling with briefcase and luggage...when Christian who must have seen this on a stormy dark day...reaches out to grab my luggage and brings into the hotel before the downpour of rain which we just made it before the deluge of pouring rain. Amazing staff...I've been everywhere man, Chicago, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, San Francisco, Miami, Mexico City, Montreal, Monterrey, Vancouver, Dallas, Toronto, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Phoenix....I've been everywhere...well you get idea...just listen to Johhny Cash or the Rolling Stones and get your "Ya's, Ya's out" and enjoy your stay at Fiesta Inn Aguascalientes Mexico...and when you do tell them Greg said they could be .... everywhere man! Read moreA cab for 5 am booked for 4.30 am, despite reconfirmation of my 5 am departure, not a 4.30 am departure. Get a call from the lobby (Cristynne, if I remember her name well) at 4.38 am. Pick up the phone while showering. She tells me my cab waits outside the lobby. I tell her I will be right there asap, despite the fact that my cab request was for 5 am. I rush out of the shower, get dressed and leave the room, showing up at the lobby at 4.42 am. The cab was already gone! I inquired this woman as to why, upon hanging up with me, she had not walked 10 feet in the lobby area, to tell the cab to wait a few minutes further! With a frown and an attitude, she calls the cab company and, at about 5am, the cab shows up again by the motor lobby and I get onboard it. The 4.45 am heartburn ruined my day, thanks to this woman´s attitude. The hotel company must find a way to ensure its employees facing Clients, substantially improve their customer service attitudes and their customer service performance, geared for results (such as ensuring the cab waits there until the Client shows). The cab, by the way, was organized by the hotel. So, in my invoice, I noticed that the hotel makes a (hefty) mark-up on my taxi ride fee.||||Not a nice experience for a business person....
Read moreRestaurant was not typical inexpensive Mexico prices. Ordered tacos and beans. Beans were cold. Also ordered cake to take back to my room. Could not eat it, it tasted terrible. I went down to restaurant with uneaten portion to exchange for another flavor of cake after explaining how bad that one was and he came back out of kitchen and told me I had to pay for another slice. I agreed in order to keep the peace and give another flavor a try. I ordered the carrot cake this time and it was terrible too. The texture was mushy and the flavor bland. So I paid about $8 American dollars for 2 pieces of terrible cake I could not eat. Usually when visiting Mexico the food is fresh, delicious and is amazing at cheap prices ...not the case at all...
