UPDATED IN RESPONSE TO THEIR REPLY BELOW: I understand that they need to protect their reputation, but their response below is completely inaccurate. I have given them numerous opportunities to resolve the issue, yet they continue to give me the run around about my promised reimbursement. A company that refuses to acknowledge its mistakes, fails to make things right, and makes false statements to protect its image is not one I want to ever support — and I wouldn’t recommend you do so either. —————————————————————————— Completely Disappointing Stay – Avoid This Hotel
What we hoped would be a luxurious and seamless experience turned into a frustrating and disappointing ordeal.
On our first night, we returned from the wineries only to be hit with a horrible drainage smell in our villa’s bathroom—it so unbearable that we couldn’t shower or use the hot tub as we had planned and were so much looking forward to. We immediately contacted the front desk, and while they did offer to move us to another villa, the execution was a complete disaster.
The next morning, after ‘repacking’ all our belongings, I reached out early to get the details of our new villa so we could move and stay on schedule for our already planned day. Despite calling and messaging MULTIPLE times, no one responded. The front desk was closed well past 8:00 AM, leaving us stranded—unable to use the bathroom or shower. After over an hour of waiting, I finally found a maintenance worker, who, despite having no idea about the situation, at least helped with a new villa. The front desk? They never responded, even after seeing my multiple calls and messages, not a single acknowledgement or apology.
This delay completely disrupted our planned morning, and the lack of communication was beyond unprofessional.
At checkout, I inquired about compensation for the major inconvenience and was only offered 25% off a future stay—laughable, considering our experience. I made it clear that I likely wouldn’t return, but they insisted they couldn’t do anything else. Only after I mentioned writing this review did they reluctantly offer a small reimbursement for some extra expenses I had made. However, they then told me I needed a Mexican bank account to receive it—despite having used the same US credit card for both the booking and in-person deposit. Make that make sense.
This hotel has a lot to learn about customer service. The way they handled this situation was completely unacceptable, and I cannot recommend staying here. Save yourself the frustration and...
Read moreIt was easy to find at 1pm , I would recommend trying to get there before it gets dark because the majority of the roads to the hotels in Vineyards are all dirt roads, not much lights. It’s very safe and the people there are extremely friendly and helpful.||We stayed in the glass unit, which was the best experience ever. It was clean very quiet, and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Danya was able to get us a driver specifically just for us to get us to wineries and back home safely. His name was Daniel 💕 and he was a great driver. We highly recommend him. Alondra was very sweet and very quickly to respond to my messages.||The bed and comforter and sheets and pillows were so comfortable. We slept in a very cool to cold room. But I like it very cold, but you could adjust the temperature in the room. This is considered a tiny house so I suggest not to pack as if you were gonna stay for a whole week. There is no TV which we didn’t mind because we disconnected from everything and everybody. We brought drinks and our champagne bottle which the staff put in our refrigerator while we were out having dinner.||Right next-door, which is like a 30second walk is the big infinity pool with seating and shade, it was so relaxing. Water was chilly but warm at the same time because it was hot that day.||We were seven minutes from Casa Frida and 10 to 15 minutes from all the great wineries. Honestly, this location was in the middle of everything and we will be back again soon. I absolutely love staying here.. This is the only glass house that they have besides the other four units which are much bigger and I forget to mention they have a sauna which we did not get to use because we enjoy the pool more. ||Fun facts is we met a little kitty named Michy and he was so friendly and cute. We didn’t encounter any types of bugs or anything out of the ordinary. It was completely safe and the view was amazing especially in the morning while...
Read moreBeware of rats: A disappointing and distressing stay!
Our experience at this hotel was quite dreadful, despite the initial positives. The front desk staff were very nice and accommodating, and the villa’s decorative aesthetics were beautiful, but that was the extend of the positive aspects of our stay. We checked into our villa, left for dinner, and when we returned the room had a very foul sewer smell. We thought it was coming from the drain or the bathroom sink and left the fan on all night and kept the bathroom door shut. We were then woken up in the middle of the night by a sound inside the room and to our horror, we found 3 mice in our room feasting on the snacks. We called the emergency contact numbers but no one picked up at 4am and no one was on the property overnight. I found it concerning that we couldn’t have access to anyone in case of an emergency. We left the room and stayed in our car until the manager finally picked up his phone at 7am. Unfortunately, his inability to handle the situation properly left us disappointed. We had no choice but to check out and find alternative accommodation during a holiday weekend when most properties were fully booked.
This is a fairly new property and it was disappointing that it already had so many cracks and gaps for rats to get in, hide, and even die unnoticed by the cleaning crew. The initial foul smell was actually from a dead rat somewhere in the room. And I got some footage of our uninvited guests.
Overall, the experience was distressing and unacceptable, spoiled by serious rodent problem and inadequate...
