I stayed at this hotel last night March 11th and it was horrible! I don’t know who’s giving this place 3, 4 or 5 stars but their standards must be very low. We get to our room and the carpets are disgusting, the desk chair had so many stains and the shower was dirty as well. The room smelled like pee and we could tell the air conditioner hasn’t gotten any maintenance done recently because the air smelled musty. My mom went downstairs to request another doom. She wanted to call but the phone in the room didn’t indicate which button you should select for reception. We did get a second room. Carpet was still dirty and the a/c smelled bad but not as bad as the other. The only reason we didn’t ask for a third room was because my child was extremely tired and she just wanted to sleep. The bed was really hard but it was clean so we dealt with it. We left the hotel at 7:30am, we just couldn’t wait to get out of there. I would recommend people to spend the extra money and stay at the holiday inn express, araiza inn or lucerna. We like to try different hotels and we thought this had good reviews so it can’t be bad... big mistake. Never again!

The beds are uncomfortable, 2 bad pillows and no closet or drawers. You should hang your clothes next to the 📺 TV. My husband and me made the reservation for 2 nights and 3 days on Expedia. When we arrived the receptionist didn't have our reservation. Then, she sent us to a room with the most uncomfortable bedroom. We complained and she sent us to a 2 bedroom room with a horrible uncomfortable bedrooms. We used to stay in this hotel during 2015 and 2018 and they had more pillows and comfortable beds but not anymore. The breakfast was delicious, even when is the same food they change the cooks and now is disgusting. We won't return to City Express Mexicali.

Excellent for the price and location! I would highly reccomend booking online for great deals! The location is on a main street. Amazing chinese food next door and everything is close by. The rooms have a modern touch, but no fridge or microwave. They serve hot breakfast, fruit cups, coffee, and fresh juice. For the price, cleaniness and location 5 stars for me. Oh be ready to have ID for every adult. And Book Online.

Real desastes I checked in at 11:00pm. Looking forward to a hot shower befor feting into bed. There was no hot water so I called the desk and they said they would call me. No one did, I tried too call and the phone would not work. I finally just went to sleep. At 6:00 AM I want to take my shower and no hot water. Phone still not working. I walk downstairs and there are 2 clerks at the desk. I explain my problem and the night clerk said there was no hot water in my room and would have to take a shower in a different room on a different floor. By now I’m more than just frustrated. The other clerk said that the shutoff valve needed to be turned on he went with me and sure enough the problem was solved. When I asked the night clerk why he didn’t follow up last night he claimed that he was all alone. To make things worse the pillos are so lumpy I still have an achy neck. When I checked out at 7:00AM I received no offer to give me a discount or anything. Barley an acknowledgement that things didn’t go well. I have an expense account so it’s not the money but they should have...
