Update: we are almost to the end of our 6 day stay and we ran out of water in the rooms. The person in charge keeps telling us that maintenance is working on it but they don't know when the water will come back on. It is very frustrating. We were at the beach and have no way to shower unless we do it in the public area near the pool. There is no wifi in the rooms as advertised. I am writing my review in an area by the pool as the wifi range does not extend to the rooms, only the main reception and the pool. One of the bright spots is the cleaning lady whose name is Vere. She is great and keeps our rooms nice and clean. The maintenance young man tries very hard at keeping things working but has an uphill battle with everything going wrong. I do not recommend staying at this hotel unless there is nothing better available. I am very disappointed with the accommodations. I rented a single room with 2 beds and a couch. The room is interesting with a small restroom/shower. The shower is located at the front just as you open the door. And then you have the lavatory next to it and the toilet at the end. It is a weird configuration. The beds are full beds that can sleep 2 people each. There's a table with 4 chairs and a small kitchen with a small propane stove. There is also a refrigerator. It is fine for 4 people. The room is a bit old and outdated. The photos on the website make it look much more appealing that it actually is. I also rented a large room with two levels. The lower level is ample with a large dinning room, living room, half bath and small kitchen. The upper room has a full toilet room with a shower and a large room with 3 double beds and 1 single bed. Both upper and lower levels have balconies and they face the alleyway to the beach. The screen doors to both balconies are damaged and difficult to open and close. Both rooms are overpriced for what the hotel has to offer. Very overpriced for an old hotel. The cleaning and maintenance people are amazing. Very helpful at everything and friendly. Read moreI have been here for the past 3 days of 7. And since day one I’ve encountered issue after issue. 1. The A/C didn’t work in one of the bedrooms. Called maintenance and they took over an hour for them to come. 2. Lady at pool bar “Blanca “ need a bit more of customer service. Doesn’t pay attention to guests needs. Seems distracted with her phone. Something I find very unprofessional. 3. The in room refrigerator has been reported for it to be fixed/revised. It’s been 2 days now and still no interest of them to come fix it. We haven’t been able to buy food or drinks to store. Pointless. The following problem just happened about a few minutes ago. 4. Called in for a bigger cooking pan since there is no coffee maker. Lady at reception mentioned there will be someone coming up to get me the pan. After 30 minutes I had to walk down to reception to remind them about the pan. To my surprised, the housekeeper, the reception person and the lady I charge if showing the rooms all charting. And laughing on their phones. This definitely made me extremely mad. Very careless and unprofessional. Reception lady then told the housekeeper to find an extra pan. And once i was given one. She gave me the one attached in this review. It was filthy dirty. As if it had been in the floor with fungus growing in it. This is just unacceptable. I had high expectations for this “ Resort” since it looked way better than the rest of the bungalows around the area. I know it’s not a 5 star property but attention to guests is extremely important. Read moreTo start, when we were taken to our room the lady had major attitude. Our room came with a small kitchen, the lady that took us to our room told my mom, "the way that the dishes are, is the way that they should be left at the time that you leave or else an additional charge would be added". For starters, we're not dirty so obviously we would be cleaning up after ourselves, but what got us was the attitude of that women. The way she spoke to us was no way to speak to customers. Another thing was that the AC for our room did not work, and if you know anything about the area then you know that its very hot and humid. A third thing, was that our safe wasnt working as well and in the wall you could see that it wasn't the first time it wasn't working. Another problem was the TV controllers didn't have batteries and at the end of our trip they tried to charge us for that even though it was like that when we arrived. The worst part of it all was that our room had bed bugs and cockroaches in the rooms, and there is a 100% chance that they're in the other rooms as well. On our final day when my mom tried giving back the key to the room the same lady that brought us to our room told her, "wait, they need to check the room first" with a horrible attitude. The problem wasn't the fact that she wanted to check the room, it was the way she said it. If you don't want to be interacting with people or if thats the way you're going to be acting with PAYING CUSTOMERS then find another job. I highly recommend choosing a different hotel because we had a horrible experience here.
