Hospedaje Papagrande — Hotel in Homún

Hector Leon and his wife Julieta run a small hotel where they live. They are in the midst of expanding, so there was some daytime hand-construction work going on during our 2-night visit in February 2020.||||It is only a longish block from the center of this tiny village, with about a dozen nearby Cenotes to visit.||||People get around by small moto-taxis that are plentiful and cheap.||||Hector recommended the nearby El Rincon de Abuelo restaurant on Calle 19. Senora Angela and her son Omar were great hosts. Simple but delicious fare. We ate all of our meals there.||||We took a moto-taxi to the 3 Cenotes at Santa Barbara nearby. (see separate review) and the in-town Cenote Tza-Ujun-Kat, a very rustic but marvelous subterranean Cenote with Stalagmites and Stalagtites penetrating the underground lake. Clean, well cared for hotel with incredibly kind and welcoming owners. It felt more like staying with grandma and grandpa than a hotel. The two pools, including one for kids, were shaded by fruit trees. For a few dollars a full breakfast of fruit, bread, jams, eggs, bacon, juice, and coffee...

Me dejó un buen sabor de boca. El servicio fue muy bueno y la habitación muy limpia y bonita. Es todo lo que uno espera al llegar y por el precio que se paga. Me gustó mucho que tuvieran piscina en un área muy relajante para convivir con tu familia. Lo único que no me gustó es que las paredes de las habitaciones son de tablaroca y cuando llegamos no había nadie de vecino pero en la mañana muy temprano llegaron unos y prácticamente se escuchaba toda su conversación y el ruido que hacían fue muy incómodo, lo bueno que ya nos íbamos al medio día y me imagino si hubieran estado el mismo día que llegamos uff iba a ser terrible. Quizás sería mejor pedir una habitación que no tuviera a otros huéspedes a los lados y así se solucionaría...
