The idea of hotel was to make something authentic. So it is authentic, too authentic. Dirt, sand, humidity, stuffiness, mosquitoes, sand flies, even iguana sometimes - that is what they have. AC, TV, comfort - that is what they haven't. Water in the harbor is turbid sometimes, but mostly very turbid and polluted after rain. They have the only road for quadrocycles. And that road is laying right next to your window. There is no glass in the window, so you can enjoy with traffic anytime they want. They have a restaurant. Food is pretty pricey and and primitive. But it is also good and safe enough. I suppose it is clean in the kitchen. There is not much to do in this hotel, you can feed stray dogs, listen to their barking in the night, swim if the water is not that dirty. Better stay someplace else,...
Read moreA wonderful place. My wife and I spent 10 days. You must prepare in advance (seclusion, Mosquitos, hunger, boredom, but it is well worth it. Beautiful, quiet, relaxing and many amenities. The palapas(sp?) are rustic and sparse, but romantic and comfortable. If you bring the right things (depending upon the type of experience you want, budget, duration you'll be there and what you can carry) you and/or your companion can have a fantastic, secluded beach vacation within a short distance from Puerto Vallarta! Oh, by the way, the food was magnificent! Not sure if the chef is still there. An American female.
