I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. My room was on the first floor ( it’s more like a second floor ) and it was really quiet. I thought it was not booked for other people because it was that quiet. I went twice for breakfast on my stays. It was the continental breakfast buffet: chilaquile sauces with the tortilla chips separately so you can add your own amount of sauce, scrambled eggs, ham or bacon, beans, baked good, a toaster and bread, cereals, coffee, teas, fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh cut fruit, yogurt, granola and other 2 kind of juices but can’t remember which ones :D. My room was located to the back area which I was able to see the eating area. I also went up to the top floor to snoop around the gym just because I’m that nosey :D. It had many machines to use. Also saw bathrooms and the hot tub which was covered and I didn’t bother asking when it was able to be used :(. I was very very pleased about the cleanliness of my booked room. It was spotless! Comfy beds. Which I had two because we’re a family of 4. The bathroom it’s right on the entryway of the room and toilet and shower are separated, closed with glass doors. Will definitely be booking at this wonderful place. Ooh also, almost forgot an Oxxo is like 2 blocks away although you gotta be careful crossing the big boulevard :-/. I also tried the restaurant “Pits” had a chicken sandwich 🥪 it was good. Had a rib eye steak 🥩 nothing like I had imagined :-(. People were eating burgers and they looked pleased eating them. 🤷♀️ check in and check out were easy and quick. Also, airport shuttle is every hour. Use it. A hotel taxi was charging around $150 pesos. Uber about $70 pesos. Stay here you won’t...
Read moreI'll list the positives 1st. Excellent location within 10 minutes from airport. Free airport transportation ONLY TO airport on the hour. Wonderful staff, from front desk to housekeeping to breakfast attendant. Breakfast was excellent all 3 days and service was attentive.Room was clean as expected, since the hotel has only been open for 4 months. The room itself had issues. I was in 2205,facing a side street-thankfully! The road noise was the worst of any hotel I have visited in 40 countries. The hotel faces a busy 3 lane road and above that road is an expressway. From roughly 9pm until 5am,the expressway is used by tractor-trailors as a speedway! You cannot imagine the noise generated by the huge trucks all night long,on average several per minute for the entire night. It never ends! Thankfully I'm not a light sleeper and thankfully my room DID NOT face those roads! I was approx. 50 feet from the road on a side-street. Noise issues aside, the internet in my 2nd day was virtually non-existent until 5pm. I had issues with my room key on 2 of 3 days. There is a floor to ceiling mirror just inside the room and it was cracked across, except for 1/2 inch. Had than 1/2 in cracked, this huge mirror would have come crashing down. There were marks/stains on the lime green walls and ~15 paint stains on the beautiful wood floors since the rooms were painted prior to opening. I have photos to document the mirror, wall stains and paint stains on floor. Food choices are limited in the area but can be found within a 15 minute walk.
I will not stay again due to the noise and choose a nearby Holiday Inn or other HI property in the city. Light...
Read moreWe visited the hotel for a sport event, group of 8 to 10 families. One of our group members received a phone call with an extortion call, we reported the situation and we pass through a very poor response from the hotel Manager and safety head, instead of see an attitude to solve ad find the solution they were just justifying the situation. Extortion call in Mexico city is a common situation, the most critical part that was not recognized by the hotel staff is the situation related to knowledge of specific details from the callers. They knew how may persons where in the room, they also knew about items inside the room... things that were not possible to know if the information were not provided from the inside. The hotel staff always justified that they have procedures to prevent the info leak but they did never answered or justify us how the callers knew the issue related to number of people and specific info. The receptionist passed the call with no filter, the room was not under the name of the persons staying there. Also the hotel manager mentioned that she had call to the authorities to report the event, but we never were contacted by them and we never saw a police officer attending this problem, so again I think it was a lie from them. Final but not least, in our departure date we were told we will have shuttle to the airport.. confirmen at 10:00 am at 2:00 pm they say, no shuttle, sorry do what ever you can we have the truck programmed for preventive maintenance. Honestly, one of the worse experiences I have lived with IHG...
