Hotel Amala — Hotel in Mexico City

Tenga cuidado, cuando hice el check in, el recepcionista me dijo que mi pago no se había realizado y me dijo que tenía que pagar en efectivo. Pagué dos noches de estadía dos veces. Cuando los confronté, dijeron que no tenían registro. No reserve a través de Internet. Beware, when I checked in, the receptionist told me that my payment had not gone through, and told me I had to pay in cash. i paid for my 2 night stay twice. when i confronted them, they said they had no record. do not book through the internet. No mention on booking sites that it is a sex hotel, although they do have a 3rd floor " for longer stays" than a few hours for a quicky. Hard beds, stained old sheets, and unusable pillows. The only positive, is the location...

My wife and I, and a friend and her husband decided to vacation in Mexico City for a few days. We picked Hotel Amala for the price and were pretty pleased.||Cons- ||The hotel are that it is a little far from most places that we wanted to visit (except for the dead doll island, which was walking distance).||None of the staff spoke English (but then we were in Mexico City, so that's kind of our problem...not theirs)||It can be pretty noisy if you get a screaming baby in the room next door.||Pretty aggressive porn on several channels.||||Pros - ||Nice hotel with some cool/interesting amenities.||Good...

The hotel is nice, clean, modern. It's not exactly a place for families. More of a romantic vibe. The rooms are nice but the bed was a bit hard and the pillows could be better. The location was great, and there's a nearby bridge to walk over the highway and go to the flower market and other places. Plenty of dining options nearby. I don't recommend the restaurant there. Staff was a little annoyed that we had kids, but it worked out ok for a couple nights. Underground parking was free,...
