Hotel Casa Eugenia — Hotel in Michoacán

An atmospheric and historic place to stay in beautiful Morelia.

The location is great and close (10 minute walk) to most sites. It’s very quiet and away from the potentially noisy activity of the core of the historic district.

We rented a 2-level junior suite with a sitting area & bathroom on the ground floor and a bedroom on the 2nd level. The decor is unique and old-world. Each room is unique.

Public spaces are plentiful with multiple patios and sitting areas and interesting art and details as well as a large rooftop with gorgeous views.

The dining area for breakfast is on the upper level adjacent to the rooftop. Breakfast was included and was excellent. Good coffee/rolls and pastries/fresh fruit and yogurt/eggs cooked to order with 4 options.

The staff (especially Pablo) was cordial and professional.

I will definitely stay here on any return...

This hotel is way more than you can ever expect, it is a beautiful ancient 7 bedroom house, completely renovated with classy antique furnishings. The rooms are very spacious and well decorated, the breakfast served daily is a plus (and delicious) and the staff is so helpful and welcoming. Francisco the owner is always attentive to your needs and the receptionists always willing to help in what ever they can, the girl even brought me a bath tub for my baby from her house because they didn't have any! Amazing space, the entryway was absolutely breathtaking. We were mostly served by Pablo, he was fantastic. He catered to our every need gave us a tour of the property and some history. Good recommendations. This is an older space, but it is clearly loved. The internet doesn't like to work late at night and the water is not the warmest but the hearts here sure are. You can choose to eat/read/lounge upstairs in the rooftop patio with amazing views of the cathedrals surrounding you, or down in the central plaza inside the main hall.
