Choose it only if you have no other place to stay in Cuernavaca.||I've stayed there two times. The first one they were Barceló, and the experience was regular to fair. That's why, when we had to go to Cuernavaca again for a family reunion, we booked there again.||It was a mistake.||The lobby was loud in excess. "That's the bohemian night", the clerk told us; it was just a noisy lobby bar, whose noise gets into the rooms and makes it difficult to sleep until the party is over.||We dined and asked for a fruit platter. "We don't have any fruit", was the answer. My wife and I had to settle for a pair of (mediocre) overpriced cecina tacos.||Saturday morning, I had to work so we had the buffet. One single style of eggs (scrambled with green sauce), not so ripe fruit and acid orange juice. When my wife asked for decaf coffee, she got a cup of tasteless, diluted coffee.||I looked for a place to have a video conference, and couldn't find a place to take a sit and plug my computer. The hotel doesn't have electrical outlets near any seats nor tables.||Sunday morning, noise started before 8:00am. A blender was working full speed, and the noise got into our room with no muffling. Noisy carts running over the aisle, and onion smell getting in thru the bathroom window made us get up an hour before our plan.||Pillows were not soft; the ceiling fan had only one speed, and the shower offered some low quality bathing gel and shampoo. There was an ironing board and no iron. ||One more thing. When booking our room, we tried to find out if the hotel was pet friendly. We asked a couple of times and got no answer. Saturday morning we saw a family with four(!) dogs getting out of their room and walking thru the lobby.||In brief: Poor service. Lousy food. Low quality service. Low price-quality ratio. Not the place to stay if you want a memorable experience in...
Read moreMy in-law family, my husband and I stayed over at Casa Francisco during the 2021 Christmas holidays. This hotel has two sections, the old and the new. I stayed in the new section, floor 2, which was slightly more expensive. The entire building combines colonial vibes and modern comfort. Our room faced the pool, but I could not hear the noise from the people swimming and hanging around that area. Every single surface was very clean, and the ambiance invited relaxation. The hotel is located at walking distance from the Sanborns, a large store that includes a pharmacy, a small bookshop, a nice restaurant, electronics store and some other merch. It is also one block away from an important street. However, you will not hear any noise from the street. We received incredible attention from all staff members including everyone at buffet, the quesadilla chef lady, cleaning, reception and door keeping staff. The hotel offered a wide choice of freshly made dishes of high quality. Even my mother in-law, who is an excellent cook, enjoyed all the meals. Lastly, and most importantly, the most impressive aspect of my stay at Casa Francisco was that the staff seem very pleased to work there. It seems the management is doing a great job to keep them busy but happy. Thanks Casa Francisco staff, for the wonderful...
Read moreWe thought the hotel was very good in every sense, until we had a harrowing experience due to a serious breach of security. On the night of April 6, 2018 we returned to our room (#103) at 1:30 a.m., after a party. At around 2:20 a.m., we woke up to the noise of someone opening our door. A woman had entered our room and was standing right next to our beds. I screamed at her asking who she was, how did she open the door, and what did she want. She replied that she was going to Room 105 and that she was given the key at the front door. I was praying that she was just confused and that she did not have someone else waiting outside to come in and strike us. I took her out and ran back inside with my heart in my throat. I think that the person at the front desk should have being more careful, and not given a key to our room to the woman without checking for ID and without verifying if he/she gave her the right key. I wonder if any key would open any door at the hotel! Thank God the woman was just lost. We wonder if instead of a lost soul, she could have being a person willing to attack or rob us. Next morning I asked at the front desk who was in charge and reported the incident. I would like to think whoever is in charge would instruct the front desk employees to be more careful, so they can avoid such a...
