Lovely resort. But please, whatever you do, do not buy a timeshare here. And if you do choose to do so, please have a very good lawyer who will help you sort through all of the legal documents and ensure that it is not a scam. I say this because a few years ago (a couple of months before the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak), my family was vacationing there having the absolute time of our lives. We were there on account of those timeshare spiels that gave us a tremendous discount for our entire stay. My parents were the ones who listened to the entire thing while my sister and I lounged by the pool. That goes to say, we’d been on several of these sorts of vacations using the timeshare spiels to help fund our trips, and never had my parents ever considered actually purchasing a timeshare at any of these places. Surprisingly enough, they came back that day declaring that they’d done so. The manager at the time (no idea if he is still the real one as the resort will no longer return my dad’s phone calls, but his name is Jesus) was very kind. He gave us free meals, bonded with my dad over a small jazz artist, and made us feel very welcome. He was the mastermind behind all of this, because the timeshare my parents turned out to be a full fledged scam. They were ensured that upon buying this timeshare that for every year we did not use it and leased it back to the resort for other availability, we would be getting money back, eventually to the point where we would make a slight profit if we so chose. I believe this was a 10 year plan in total, so they’d pay us up to 10 years that we didn’t use the place. This whole thing was about $30,000. We were supposed to make up to $40,000 back in return, so in theory, a $10,000 net profit. So my dad started paying the thing off, but as soon as he realized they weren’t beginning to pay him back, he called several times. Their response was that they weren’t able to pay him back at the time (which made sense because of the then recent outbreak of covid-19), and that there would now be interest on their returned payments, which in a way was good news to my dad. However, after a few more months of this, they began claiming that he had to pay the entire thing off before he could start making the money back. He did. And as soon as he did, they screened his phone calls and never returned a single one ever again. $30,000 down the drain. Granted, I do believe management has shifted at this point and are hopefully more veritable and transparent about all of their sales nowadays. All in all, please please please be careful about buying any sort of timeshare package from this resort. Our family took a very big hit financially because of it. Let me also say this: the resort is lovely. The workers and staff there are the kindest and most interesting people you will ever meet. This is in no way a slam at them, because I’m sure they weren’t aware of the management’s swindling. And it’s a lovely, relaxing place to vacation. Just please think long, hard, and critically before you purchase anything permanent from this place, because we did not and we are...
Read moreI stayed in Four Seasons Punta Mita with my wife and my little daughter (4 months old) from May 1st - 4th, 2025. Overall, we had a good stay, but I would like to highlight the pros and cons mostly on taking a little one with you:
PROS: Food was great as expected for a Four Season hotel even though the high price tag. You should expect top-notch quality food from all restaurants. Staff is adorable, they will always try hard to make your stay the most memorable and pleasant as possible. No complaints about anyone The location is marvelous, great place to relax with a more selective audience.
CONS: They do claim to have a program called Baby for all seasons to support you with your little one and this was the exact reason why I chose this resort for the first trip with my 4 months baby. However, during the reservation directly with them, I listed all the items I would like to have: crib, nursing pillow, changing mat and a bath tub - and after arriving at the bedroom (casita garden), there was only the crib. After requesting the other stuffs, they were able to provide the bath tub and nursing pillow. On the other hand, we upgraded to a front seat suite for the last 2 days and there they arranged the changing mat and also a baby gym the my daughter loved. I hired their transfer service from airport to hotel and hotel to airport. In the first leg, there was no infant car seat and we had to wait 20min more for them to find one in the storage, but at least they found and my daughter was correctly protected. However, in the way back to the airport there was NO infant car seat available even though I requested multiple times during the reservation and in the day before to the front desk. At the end they figured out one of those car seats that could go rear facing, but without the appropriate infant mattress to better support my daughter’s head - it was a great disappointment for me. The driver did a great job going quite slow and I was holding her head during the entire trip - this is something unacceptable for a Four Seasons Hotel with such an expensive service and claiming that they have a baby’s program. The room was quite old. I expected something more modern there, but we could see that the structure needs some improvement, shower temperature was tough to control, blackout wood door was tough to manage and there was not much technology in the bedroom.
All that said, and mostly related with my child safety that is non negotiable, I could not give more than 3 stars to my experience. When you talk about a Four Seasons, you set an high bar of expectations and they failed miserably in the most relevant one that is my baby’s safety although being notified multiple times beforehand.
Last but bot least, if you are thinking about bringing your own baby, I would advise bringing your own infant car seat with you to ensure your little one...
