We came to the St. Regis to catch the sunset and mourn the final night of our trip. The sun may rise in the east at least it's settled in a final location...
My homie, Rig, bought the 5 of us a round of Clase Azul shots at the bar for my birthday while we waited for a table. We were like "DAMN OK RIG YOU'RE LIKE THAT!", but I think he was a little toasted as I had been making some STIFF tequila drinks at the house before dinner ahahaha. I've never seen a man sober up so quickly in my entire life when that bill came. It was like he just got kicked in the liver or found out his girlfriend was cheating. Pure shock.
I think he thought it would be like $40-50 a shot but he had no idea it would run $100+ a shot ahahaha. We all tried to pay him cuz we felt bad, but he stood on business and said it's still worth it. Great friend... but honestly after writing this and digesting the moment I just venmo'd him for my portion cuz I need to be a good friend too.
After the Clase Azul debacle, we really dug into the menu before sitting and decided to eat somewhere else, but this place is still beautiful and we truly did enjoy our time at the bar watching the sunset. Those prices just would have left my pockets on featherweight ahahaha. It was like $30 a drink and $45 a plate which I can only imagine would be mouse food and this big dawg needs big dawg food...
But I really just need to make more money. I mean it is the St. Regis, what were we expecting lol. I'm tryna get like y'all! Hey Siri, play "Till I Get There" by Lupe Fiasco.

Read moreI did know what to expect and assumed, based on the other restaurants on property that we would be seated inside, so I wore heels; probably not the best idea. While they do have a couple of tables inside the open air restaurant and a few at the bar, the majority of the seats are on the beach. We could have sat inside, but the view was so pretty that we stayed outdoors. We started with the roasted potato churros with a side of black caviar which, surprisingly was delicious! For our main meal, we dined on the grilled whole lobster and meat & mole with a side of grilled mushrooms. The meal was delicious, but the lobster was local and the tail was not as big as I would have liked for the price that we paid. Arturo, our waiter surprised me for my birthday and brought out a shaved coconut filled with mango, crumble and tapioca. This was arguably one of the best meals during our week long trip and Arturo was a...
Read moreThe best spot to have lunch or dinner at. We stayed at the St. Regis so it was easy for us and we ate lunch there every day for 7 days. We wouldn’t eat breakfast as we couldn’t wait to have lunch there. And we ate dinner there a couple of times. So casual. Amazing that it’s steps from the water. The cerviche and fish tacos are amazing. All of the fish and sea food is so fresh. We would order what ever the fresh catch was in a couple of different ways. So healthy for the most part. The servers were all amazing. Such personalized service. We have been home a week and I crave the food every day. We ate at many of the top restaurants in Punta Mita which were all amazing and I would recommend so many of them. But this spot was by far my favorite. Thank you to you all who made our experiences there so amazing. We can’t...
