The Hampton Inn Aeropuerto MTY is a well-maintained hotel conveniently located near the airport, making it an ideal choice for travelers. The rooms are spacious and well-furnished, with comfortable beds that ensure a good night's sleep, and the cleanliness and upkeep of the rooms are commendable. The gym is equipped with enough machines and weights to facilitate a basic full-body workout, catering to fitness enthusiasts looking to maintain their routine while traveling. Although I did not use the outdoor pool, it appeared clean and well-maintained, offering a pleasant option for relaxation. The breakfast provided is of good quality, though the variety is somewhat limited and could benefit from more diverse options. One of the standout features of this hotel is its 24/7 airport shuttle service, which departs every 30 minutes, providing a significant convenience for travelers with early or late flights. The only notable issue was a strange burnt oil smell in the elevator, which might be concerning for some guests and should be addressed to enhance the overall guest experience. Overall, the Hampton Inn Aeropuerto MTY offers a comfortable and convenient stay for travelers, with its well-maintained facilities, reliable airport shuttle service, and comfortable rooms, making it a solid choice despite the minor...
Read moreI wanted to say thank you so much to the Manager, the staff at the desk and the room cleaning staff. On the day that we arrived there was a 'happy hour's we were invited to join in by the manager - there was pizza, chicken strips, soft drinks and beer for free. That was such a nice warm welcome., after a long road trip. The manager was so nice and helpful, in every way. She was really there to sort out any and all that we needed during our two day stay at the hotel. There were bilingual staff to help us - in English and Spanish. The beds in the rooms were very comfortable. The pillows were made of down = feathers - so super comfy! We loved them. The breakfast was sooooo yummy, omg, fresh papaya, freshly squeezed orange juice, freshly made green juice made of various fruit with the fiber. The eggs were so nice, the bread was very nice, everything was such a pleasure to have and taste. There was a free shuttle service between the airport and the hotel. The staff was so understanding and helpful to us, I can only recommend the hotel and would be so super happy to stay there again, if we ever go back to Monterrey. Thank you so much! The lady Manager was very...
Read moreMain issue I had while I was there was the dollar to peso conversion rate and how the hotel plays it to their advantage. If you book in USD, at the registration you will sign a security voucher in MX pesos which is actually calculated at a more advantageous rate for the hotel (bank rate was 17 to 1 , hotel was 19 to 1). In other words if the booked USD rate was say $100 per night, the voucher would be made for $1900 pesos per night… so far no problem, right?
Issue comes at the time of checkout, the charge of $1900 pesos once processed thru credit card company comes out at $111.76 USD.. since the conversion rate was of course 17 to 1.
I had made the reservation a couple of weeks earlier hence they didn’t need that much float to cover exchange rate fluctuations. In fact the exchange rate barely moved during these couple of weeks.
12% hike over the promised room rate…. Thankfully it was only one night..
Shuttle was free and convenient. Hotel itself is due...
