House is nicely decorated, our room in the second floor is a little bit small but it has a very nice sea view and nice balcony. Antonia who cook breakfast is very friendly and helpful. The room has a/c and tv with sky(cable tv). We didn’t get hot water (but water wasn’t that cold) I would have give them 5 stars but location is not good, not near from the beach, restaurants etc. Rent a scooter or a car and you will be fine. Bring your beach towels and some snacks! We enjoyed our stay! Thanks Julie for hosting us

Cannot recommend this place enough. The house is split into separate rooms with a common area and pool, we had 3/6 rooms available. The views of Mazunte and the beachside are amazing, pictures don’t do it justice. The people working there, Adolfo and Marisa were great, always super helpful with any requests we had. They only serve breakfast so we went for lunch/dinner into the different beach towns. Would recommend booking some bikes to move around

Booked Room 3 with an unbeatable view to wake up to! Pics honestly don’t do it justice. Would highly recommend. It’s quite accessible to town, the collectivo comes super frequently, or it’s a 10-15min walk to some great breakfast spots. It is located on the top of a hill, but that’s what you need to wake up to a view like this (literally the first thing you see when you wake up). Did not get any food, as it was easy to get into town and eat there.

We paid something over 100 dollars for a room with a view, which is grossly overpriced by all means. Immediately after arrival we got to know that the receptionist does not know a word in English, the room is super tiny, view is nice but spoiled by ugly fence. There was a ton of mosquitos in our room. Terrace is shared with another room, pool is shared too. Water in the pool was a bit murky, but nothing too bad. Breakfast is super overpriced (200 pesos for omelet, you get amazing burger for 190 in luxurious Restaurant in Zipolite for that price!!!), they do not serve any other meal during the day. Hotel is really far from everywhere (approx. 35 minutes by walk). If you try to relax by the pool and enjoy some chill get ready for staff hanging around and chatting quite loudly without any kind of concern that people might want to try to relax. The last thing to mention is that the place lacks any kind of vibe or soul and it feels completely unattended. Overall it is just really pricey place to...

Although, we had to cancel our reservation at this property I felt the response we received warranted a review.||||We were scheduled to stay three days at Casa Cometa following a multi-day trip over the Southern mountains of Oaxaca. Unfortunately, my wife became ill and required medical attention. After much deliberation we decided it would be wise to cancel our trip and return to our home in Canada to check out my wife's issues. I contacted Casa Cometa after the deadline for free cancelation. After relaying the reasons for the cancelation and was surprised to received an immediate response that the cancellation would be processed free of charge. Also, I received follow-up e-mails enquiring about my wife's health. ||||We are planning on returning to Oaxaca and given our experience with Casa Cometa I would not hesitate...

Very bad service, staff might have been friendly but were really poorly trained. - for half of our stay the electricity was down, we had to sleep without AC (and with no mosquito net/door frame), and receive no appology for it. When the electricity is off, the shower only has cold water. I undertand it might not be the hotel's fault... but the least they can do is ask us how we're doing during our stay ? We felt like we were bothering them while staying in this hotel. Oh, and when you book through booking, they ask you for a wire transfer. No credit card accepted on site: only cash! 🤫 Now for the good sides: view is beautiful, shower was great (when working), bed was large, and one staff member was very nice (older gentleman). I wouldn't stay...
