Hostal Onahu Chacahua — Hotel in Oaxaca

The best hostel I've stayed in so far!!! The hosts Alex and Max are super nice, relaxed and always helpful. We went fishing with Alex, relaxed in the hostel or went swimming, followed by the cutest hostel dog Estrella. The hostel is always clean, beautifully (self-)made and ecological. You are close to nature in the best sense of the word! I would wholeheartedly recommend this hostel. It was a wonderful time on this special island. I wish I could go back...

The absolute best place to stay in Chacahua! Max and Alex are incredible hosts, from cooking family dinners with fish they caught that day to movie nights and taking you surfing, fishing and showing you the best spot for sunset. The rooms are spacious and everything you need. Location is perfect, right on the beach and close to the best surf spot. Great family vibes and topped off with the company of Estrella the dog!

I ❤️ onahu, I ❤️chacahua. Max and Alex (and Estrella) have created such a paradise here, they are amazing hosts and organized group fishing, dinner, and movie night so it felt like a little family. It’s in a good location on the island, a little down the beach from the center so nice and quiet but still not too far. You can rent surfboards right out front. Super comfy beds....
