DO NOT BOTHER! Go to Secrets or Cancun Hotel Zone Instead. Okay so I never write reviews but I needed to share my thoughts because I am so so disappointed with this place! I don’t ever complain and we have stayed at amazing resorts all over Mexico but this one is by far the worst. This was supposed to be a stay organised by Arteliers wedding representative to see if we wanted our wedding here! But we didn’t even end up seeing the wedding representative or got greeted the entire stay and we saw her onsite so we knew she was there! Upon check in it was very slow and a big wait and everyone got welcome drinks or someone came up to them for a drink but we didn’t. Then people kept pushing in line and we had been already waiting on the couches for a while and for a bell boy to come. We finally got to our room and our ocean view (this is a scam unless you get the Inspira suite rooms with ocean front!) is non existent it’s legit a slither on the far right hand side which you have to look over your balcony outside to see! We spoke to another couple who were staying and their ocean view was also non existent, in which the concierge tried to gaslight me into saying there was one if we looked all the way to the right 🤣 The mini bar was wide open so the floor was a puddle and everything inside was warm. So the guy had to come change the whole fridge! The alcohol cart didn’t have any alcohol on it but 2 wines which if you see online they are fully stocked with snacks and bottles of liquor. Then we had the issue of the dinners being fully booked for 3 nights in advance unless you know someone in the resort or tip well (and then suddenly seats are available)! The restaurants are basically empty. The concierge kept changing our dinner bookings on the app and then when I went to the desk they told us they had no recordings of the bookings! And then the lady next to him had written something in her diary but they had 6pm for not 8pm so we went to steak house at 6pm and then they told us 8pm! So terrible communication with them! And then for lunch we went to the Italian restaurant and I was wearing like a crop top style nothing revealing and NO bikini with high waisted pants, in a nice outfit and the lady was very rude and said I had to cover up even though there was 2 women on the restaurant balcony in bikinis!!!! We went to dinner at 8pm and the steak was so bad it was the driest steak ever (we are Australian so we know steak), the guy kept trying to force us to buy the non-included wine and we kept saying no and he kept trying to push us paying for a bottle of wine! Then we went back to our room and all night the air conditioning hardly worked the fan only has one setting of low so it does nothing and when the room is dark the lights from the air conditioning unit, phone and power ports all have this bright blue light that doesn’t dim so I had to put towels and clothing over them all! Shower has absolutely no pressure! It got worse at breakfast you have to line up, even though it’s low season, and then we got seated in an area where they scrape the foods off the plates! All food in the buffet is overcooked or cold and room service also cold. You can’t even use the rooftop pool or bar unless you are Inspira guests. At the beach when we asked for sunscreen which all resorts usually provide on the ocean front, they said we have to be Inspira guests to have sunscreen access! It’s laughable! All pools close at 7pm. All the staff are just uninterested. We ended up trying to ask for a refund and to go home early but they said that corporate would have to ā€œagree to the refundā€ in 4-5 weeks time which I knew would never happen. So they upgraded our room to an actual ocean front room. Which I am grateful but the service and food did not improve and by which time I was so over the place and how they had treated our comments. On checking out the bell boy who got our bags was putting our luggage in the car and I politely asked if the laptop was in the boot or back seats and he he just gave me this insane look and slammed the car...

Best vacation I've had in a long time!! My time at Atelier Playa Mujeres was made 100% better with the Inspira upgrade. Prior to booking I read reviews mentioning the additional areas guests have access to, so I figured it was worth the upgrade & I ended up being correct. Also, I recommend getting the transportation credit when you make your reservation to get the car service from the airport to the hotel.

Along with the additional areas on the property (special cabanas on the beach, pool area, & rooftop bar/pool), the Inspira suite I chose had a swim out pool. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the swim out suite, we spent 1 of our 4 days just hanging out in the room at our pool. So luxurious. I can't rave more highly about the service we experienced during our entire stay as well. Our butlers Martin & Hiram were FANTASTIC!! Our check-in was smooth with a welcome drink & delicious snacks while we waited for our turn to check-in.

The bellhop who showed us to our room gave us a quick but thorough overview/tour of the property as he brought our bags, & us, to our room.

Within in minutes of getting settled in our room, Martin came to introduce himself, make sure we were happy with our suite & gave us an overview of everything we had available to us during our stay. He also asked us about dinner reservations for each night, which we took him up on booking in advance. We communicated with Martin & Hiram through Whats App & Martin provided a daily list of activities in the morning making it easy for us to plan our days.

We tried El Suspiro, La Mercado, Kopai, & Los Abrazos steakhouse during our stay. The waitstaff at each location went above & beyond to make us feel comfortable & be sure we were enjoying our food.

For breakfast, we consistently went to La Constantina which had a great buffet each morning with loads of options & kind staff. Food was delicious at Mercado for breakfast too, but the vibes & AM staff at La Constantina were more relaxed than Mercado. The food at both places is basically the same for breakfast.

The two places I'd recommend are Kopai & Los Abrazos. The food was the best at these two restaurants compared to the rest. Thank you Martin for recommending these dining options.

Jonas was our server at Los Abrazos & he recommended a great Moscato. We wanted to splurge (bottles were not included like cocktails, etc. are, but prices are all listed in MX $ on an iPad showed at the table-- we paid for the bottle check-out). The Moscato paired so nicely with the steak we ordered & tons of sides. I wish we knew about the salad buffet before we ordered so many sides though. We rolled out of there but it was a great final dinner & a great way to end our vacation.

Adrianna was our housekeep throughout our stay & she did an awesome job. Took her time cleaning up & resetting our rooms each day. Usually we wouldn't ask for housekeeping each day when we stay at hotels, but Adrianna did such an amazing job we had no problem asking for service.

Miguel at the Life & Vibe pool was awesome, his service went above & beyond at the pool. He was everywhere, greeting all the guests, taking people's orders & making sure the umbrellas were positioned where guests wanted them.

Special thank you to Luis & Carlos who helped me track down someone in my party, when they accidentally walked outside of the property after leaving the Life & Vibe pool. They helped me translate over the phone & return them back safely to the property.

On one of our last days, Hiram made sure to find me to offer passes for access to the airport lounge for Atelier. This ended up being so helpful to get food & drinks before our flight (free of charge with the passes). Our flight was delayed so this ended up helping so we didn't have to sit at the gate for a long time.

The only downside was the 40+ minute drive from the airport. Which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for location, but having the car service made the ride not too bad. Just be prepared for the journey & give yourself enough time upon departing for your...

We have just returned from a perfect week at the Atelier in Playa Mujeres. The most perfect vacation we've had the privilege of having. This is a first class adult only destination resort specifically tailored to the sophisticated traveler who prefers everything and anything right where you stay but is also happily delivered to even the most casual easy going visitor. We chose the Inspira package which is a truly an ALL INCLUSIVE package for all meals and first class beverages, a king suite with a swim out pool off the deck, and the best butler service available. Each restaurant is fantastic with the stand outs being Los Abrazos Steakhouse and the morning buffet at Mercado 19. This buffet offered everything you can imagine from traditional Chilaquiles, omelets, fruits, yogurts, cereal, pastries and breads, Mexican specialties, American popular breakfast items, specialty coffees, and real juices. We hit this every day. It's just perfect. But, please do not miss out on the culinary experience and journey of the divergence of art and gastronomy at Maria Dolores by Edgar Nunez. This is the only restaurant you pay for, but trust me when I tell you, every dish has a story and will literally speak to your soul. This is by far one of the best restaurants in Mexico. It was just exquisite in every detail and every detail has been meticulously and carefully crafted to surprise even the most discerning palate. Inspira guests also receive a 50% discount, so there is no reason to miss out on this culinary experience of a lifetime.

The NUUP Spa is easily one of the best we have ever visited. The massages were magic and the Hydrotherapy is an experience not to be missed. We went twice.

The pool bars are so fantastic. The rooftop bar for Inspira guests was hands down the best as well as the Relaxing Pool with waterfall. Astounding views, great food and drinks, and comfortable chairs and cabanas.

Each employee we encountered was friendly and went out of their way to greet us. Everyone from the maids, maintenance workers, bellmen, all restaurant staff and ckerks were incredibly warm and made us feel so welcome. They are all wonderful people.

Now to the absolute shining stars and the one's who made our stay so memorable in all ways: our personal butlers Domingo and Alexis. These gentlemen's sole mission was to take care of us from the time we arrived until the time we departed. They happily jumped into action on any request or question we had, arranged all of our daily activities and reservations, made recommendations, and most impressively they actually anticipated what we might need and proactively delivered it every single time. Twice a day they met with us to check in to see how the day was going and to see if there were any other things we wanted to do. I especially appreciated the bottle of 12 year old scotch in or room on our arrival and the ice every day. They genuinely wanted us to experience the full resort and activities, and they actually treated us like family and were always pleasant, positive, funny, and so eager to please. The hardest part of leaving the Atelier was having to say goodbye to these amazing two men. Domingo and Alexis, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You showed what true heart-felt customer service means, you remembered every detail, and your helped create lasting memories we will not forget. We look forward to seeing you on our next trip!

Now I know how hard it always is to pick your next vacation spot. Believe me, we spent weeks and weeks painstakingly researching. But you can stop looking now and book here! You will not be disappointed. The best part is, you will never need to leave during your stay. It's hard to have a criticism when they exceed expectations and over deliver. They have it all. We appreciate the experience and memories to last a lifetime and can't wait to be back! Atelier has reinvented 5 star luxury and service, and knows just how to elevate your vacation to a relaxing and memorable 5 star experience.
