Hotel Lluvia Del Mar. — Hotel in Sonora

I'm giving it 2 stars because it's still a clean place to stay, I being going to Puerto peñasco for about 11 years and always stayed at this hotel but this 4th of july weekend 2023 it was awful idk what they did to the beds but they were painful to sleep in and the pillows are so flat now, it was about 14 of us (family members) and we all said the same thing the beds were awful. The breakfast place they have its not good anymore we loved the coffee before now it's like gas station coffee and the food quality has also gone down it's ok not enjoyable like it used to be. And last one, one of our rooms lock stopped working to make it worse it was at 11 at night after a long day they weren't able to open it after an hour even the maintenance guy was having a hard time getting to open when you have 4 lil kids with you it could get very very frustrating being stuck outside. It is located on the main drag shortly after you enter town. NO VIEW!!! Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff was nice and helpful. JR Suite has a coffee pot, small fridge and micro. The rooms are $52 a night, so that is reasonable?!?!? That was the good!!!! Now the bad!!!..... Beds and pillows are pretty bad.... water pressure in our room was nonexistent. And heaven forbid you would want to take a night shower.... no hot water. I called the front desk and they said to wait 20-30 min. Never did get hot water that night!! Make sure you shower in the AM. Our coffee pot broke after the first day. Didn’t try the restaurant. If you are concerned about price....not bad for $52, but if you want ANYTHING BUT VERY BASIC.... try...

Good central location. Clean rooms, excellent AC, felt secure, extremely good value and for what you get it doesn’t get better for this price range any where. It’s not a 4-5 star hotel, but it’s pretty good and we have stayed at the best hotels in the world including Hotel Le Blanc in Cancun. For under $50 heck how can you go wrong? Some hotels in the area are over $250 a night and honestly are not much better. I would stay there again for sure for this kinda price and it’s a solid hotel with a good restaurant too and it’s very close...
