It was amazing experience for us! You get what you pay for. My recommendations if you want to a great experience are: Get as soon as they open, it will be worth it. Once you get there stay at El Paraiso Hotel (This is the first one at the reception) this building is clean, has WiFi, and hot water but we notice not so hot water early morning for some reason. When you get to the reception and if you want a balcony with mountains views pay for that type of room and reserv it right a way. They will give you the room after 2pm but you can use the park as soon as you get there and you just leave your belongings in your car until you get your room. Visit during the week before Friday. We visited Thursday the 26th and left the 27th. By the way you are charge for 2 days park passes in order to book a night. Because each day pass expires at night. So you check out at 12pm but you can stay the rest of the day until the park closes. When you are gonna stay at the hotel enjoy of las "pozas" closer to the reception early morning before al the tourist tours from Mexico city arrive because later after 11 am gets a little crowded. But you can enjoy of almost empty "pozas" or pools since 7am since the water is very warm. Highly recommended to see they first beams of sunlight. Also you can enjoy the pozas really nice every evening and until 11pm. The best time to enjoy the grutas and to get inside the caves is around 4:00 pm or after and before they close. This is the time when most tours are leaving the park. My advice is that you pay their busses to take you to the Grutas since they are a little far unless you love to walk and go up and down lots of steps. The food was good for us. There are options for different types for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For a better service get to the least crowded ones. If you don't know what to eat ask then what they will recommend but in my opinion the Chilaquiles rojos or verdes and barbacoa are great for breakfast. The tortas of milanessa, hamburgers and tacos are really good for lunch or dinner. If you prefer you can bring your own cooler and food and drinks. Or you can even rent a grill. Don't forget to bring cash since this is how you pay for everything. Be nice, patient and tip for the services this people do their best with some many people visiting. If you see trash mostlikely was some one with no education. Pick it up and put it on the right place. Maybe someone will see you doing the right thing and they will do the same. We personally saw the service people cleaning the pools, early morning, nights and sweeping areas every day. Enjoy this place and take lots of pictures it is amazing...

I don't understand how people have given this hotel better ratings. From the beginning, you cannot make a reservation so you have to get here early in the morning to insure you get a room, basically 7 a.m. In the meantime they have nowhere to store your luggage. We were not able to keep it in our vehicle because we traveled by coach tour bus. We had two busses full and they cannot travel all the way down to the hotel entrance. The paths are not properly paved to move your luggage with ease and they are extremely steep. As I stated before there is no place for you to to store your luggage before 3:30 when your room key is finally given to you. The "lockers " they have are too small for even a carry on bag. You have to lug your luggage around, getting it all dusty until you finally are able to arrive to your room. When we did arrive to our room, we had paid extra to have a balcony. Well there is a patio, not so much a balcony with a view of the stairs that lead you to the room. When I tried explaining it to the gentleman at the reception he just continually rolled his eyes and had no care about what I had to say and basically told me that if we wanted somethingbetter we should have paid more initiall, especially because at this point, 8 1/2 hours later, he had no other rooms to offer. Our room was supposedly cleaned yet there was a dead fly right when we walked in. Not such a big deal but even so. The rooms have one electrical outlet and there is no where else in the area outside of your room with access to an electrical.outlet. Almost everyone has a cell phone now and if it is a 4 star hotel it should provide such.. The bathrooms in the public area have no seats or toilet paper. Now mind you at this point we have already paid our entrance to the parks so they should provide simple amenities. The food at the restaurant was very bland. I would not recommend a stay here. I think spending one day at the park is plenty without needing to stay at the hotel. The actual setting is nothing like any of the images you see online, in social media posts, or even their advertising. Pack lightly and bring your own toilet paper and sanitary products, such as wipes or...

Stayed 2 days one night. That was enough. The view is breathtaking but the hotel was not. We stayed at the Paraiso 1 which is the bottom half where as the Paraiso 2 is the newer built and higher up the mountain side. Was recommended by friends to stay at 1 because closer to the pools and restaurants so less walk climbing steps. It's older and our room showed it. Tried to get a king with balcony but they said not available. The king bedroom we had was very basic. No amenities. Have to bring your own shampoo and conditioner. When we first stepped in to the room, the bathroom was already flooded with water. Grabbed (no phone in room btw) a cleaning staff nearby and signaled the room had a leak and was flooded. No one speaks English. Cannot communicate anything. Thought cleaning staff understood the leak in the room so we left and went swimming at the hot springs park nearby. We spent the day there, came back and swam some more in the beautiful hot springs pools the hotel is famous for. It was evening when we got back to room. By our front door we saw plastic sink tubing so we thought they fixed the leaking sink. We thought wrong. The bathroom was flooded with water. The room had 2 towels. I took one to put on the floor, it was soaked but was inadequate for the amount of water there. Now I'm not sure whether it's the sink or toilet. Nasty. And I can't find anyone to fix it. It's too late in the day. Service is horrible. Suffered through the night with flooded bathroom since we were checking out the next day anyways. I could live with the room being basic. But not fixing the leak for us? Uncool. I have never given anyone 1 star. But I don't think they deserve more. The sights are beautiful. The hotel has potential. But services? Nil. You might be better off staying at Paraiso 2. Also, food wise, don't order the hamburger. It's a thin sliver of meat. Get a hotdog instead. It's actually a normal hotdog. Wings are...

Location: This hotel is located in the paraiso section of the park and is therefore near the white pools. It is referred to as hotel paraiso escondida (or simply hotel paraiso). It is 40 minutes walk away from the Gruta section of the park (which contains caves, tunnels, river). Be ware that this hotel has 2 sections: the nicer hotel section and the bungalows. The prices on the website are for the bungalows (~900 pesos for a double room with balcony). The hotel section prices are not shared on the website and they are 1350 pesos for a double room with 1 small queen bed with no balcony and 2400 pesos for a quadruple room with 2 queen beds and balcony). Condition and amenities: The hotel is fairly clean, includes private bathroom with towels, soap, shampoo, and warm water for shower. The room includes wifi that mostly does not work, TV and air-conditioning. We had the mountain view room from the window and it was nice. The rooms look like the pictures I have posted. If you see pictures of rooms that look different, it is likely the bungalow section rooms. Downside: There is a very strong smell of pesticide in the entire facility especially in the rooms which even stays on clothes after leaving the hotel. We had absolutely no issues with bugs or insects anywhere in the hotel (including room, hallways or lobby) and I wonder if that is primarily in the bungalow sections or perhaps because they pesticide treated the hotel well. Cash: this facility operates on cash only (for hotels, food, entrance fee). No credit card accepted. I did not see any ATM on site, so bring enough cash with you. Entrance fee: please note, if you stay at this hotel one night, you will have to pay an additional entrance fee per person.
