Potentially the worst serviced apartment I’ve ever booked.
It all started when after booking the apartment I noticed I had mixed up my dates. This was literally less than a couple of minutes after booking. I contacted the host to ask to changed the dates by 1 day. Within minutes I received a text from my bank saying money had been taken from my account. I then received a message from the host saying you can’t change your dates and I’ve taken money from your account! Right away I contact booking.com and then I receive an email from the host saying fine I can change the date but I must pay €54 when I arrive.
We then arrive at the apartment a few weeks later to be told I actually took more money from your account and I owe you €30. Very confusing. We were then shown the “Penthouse Apartment” this is a studio room at the back of the building with a very very limited sea view, the balcony is shared with everyone else in the building too so no privacy at all. Your window is by the entrance so you have to keep the blinds closed or everyone can see clearly in on you. In the evening we discovered that the “Fisherman Harry” restaurant sign is left illuminated till 23:30 and the street lights are on all night shining very bright into your room, even with the blinds closed. The icing on the cake was the 4am wake up call from the cockerel outside our window!
This place was that bad we left and got a new hotel across the bay! And it was worth...
Read moreVery nice and spacious apartment, equipped with everything you need. The host is very friendly, What is extraordinary, however, is its location in the Old town of Ulcinj and the terrace from which there is an amazing view of the Adriatic Sea. Old town is beautiful with plenty of restaurants, but at the same time very quiet. The city centre with its city beach, bars and discos is within easy walking distance. What can be a problem is parking, because the Old town cannot be reached by car. You can park on the waterfront at the entrance to the Old town for a fee of 6 Euro per 24 hours and then you must walk with all luggage up the stairs. It may not be easy for elderly people. But this effort is definitely worth it.||I do not recommend the city beach, it is always crowded with people, better is the Long Beach (Velika plaža) a few kilometres south of Ulcinj (by car or boat, which runs from the city). For those who do not want to leave the Old Town is available Sunset beach, only a few tens of meters from the apartment down the stairs. However, it is only a small rock plateau with sun loungers, parasols and a bar with access...
