Title: A Nightmarish Experience at Grey Boutique Hotel, Casablanca
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1 star out of 5)
I recently had the unfortunate misfortune of staying at the Grey Boutique Hotel in Casablanca, and I must say, it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. My expectations were high, but they quickly turned into a nightmarish ordeal that left me deeply disappointed and frustrated.
First and foremost, let's talk about their so-called laundry service, which turned out to be nothing short of a disaster. I entrusted them with my clothes, expecting them to be handled with care and professionalism. To my horror, when I received my laundry back, it was evident that they had mishandled it beyond imagination. Several pieces were damaged, some even beyond repair. It was as if they had thrown my clothes into a blender and let them spin on high speed. The lack of attention to detail and utter disregard for customer belongings is simply appalling.
Moreover, the staff's attitude towards my concerns about the damaged clothes was shocking. Instead of acknowledging their fault and offering a sincere apology, they tried to blame me for not providing proper care instructions or for having delicate garments. Excuse me? Isn't it the hotel's responsibility to treat guests' belongings with care and diligence? Their lack of accountability and professionalism further exacerbated the situation.
Let's not forget the overall state of the hotel, which was far from the boutique experience they claim to offer. The rooms were outdated, poorly maintained, and lacked even the most basic amenities. The decor was drab and uninviting, giving the impression that no effort had been put into making the guest experience enjoyable.
The staff's attitude was another disappointment. From the front desk to the restaurant, they displayed a blatant lack of interest in providing any form of hospitality. It seemed as though they were doing us a favor by allowing us to stay at their establishment.
To top it all off, the location was less than ideal. The noise from the busy streets of Casablanca penetrated the poorly insulated walls, making it nearly impossible to get a good night's sleep.
In conclusion, the Grey Boutique Hotel in Casablanca was a complete letdown. Their laundry service destroyed my clothes, and their overall lack of care and professionalism ruined what should have been a pleasant stay. I strongly advise against choosing this hotel if you value your belongings and expect even the most basic level of hospitality. There are far better options in Casablanca that will actually treat you like a valued guest, something that the Grey Boutique Hotel clearly lacks the...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I we're in Morocco on vacation for a week in March '23. I chose the Gray Boutique in Casablanca as our base of operations. This hotel postulates itself as a five star boutique hotel were every room is a suite. Firstly, as to the hotel itself. The interior is well decorated with a cozy front lobby and a decent sized restaurant and bar. The restaurant is also were the breakfast buffet is located in the mornings from 7-9am. The breakfast was good not great and the choices are a bit limited, but it is worth going down to get some free coffee or tea in you. As stated before every room in the hotel is a suite, (Deluxe, Ambassador, Executive, Presidential.) I opted for the Executive suite. Our room was very large (around 700-750 square feet) and very well appointed. We had a balcony with a respectable view on one side of the suite, and an even better view from our bedroom. The suite also had two restrooms which was much appreciated. The shower was incredible with plenty of pressure and hot water, which I find lacking in many establishments. The only demerit I will give the room is that the air conditioning system seemed to be lacking. Luckily it never broke 75 degrees during our stay so we weren't too inconvenienced but I could see it being brutal in summer. Next up location, the hotel is located in a upscale, safe neighborhood not far from many a eatery and the hustle and bustle of downtown Casablanca. Finally, the staff. No real complaints here either, staff were always courteous and helpful. Definitely wanting to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. I Completely recommend Gray Boutique Casablanca, a very respectable hotel that well there may be some fancier five stars to be found in Casablanca gets a solid A for...
Read moreOn March 5th we miss our flight to Casablanca where we booked a reservation for March 6th. I was concerned that our hotel would not honor our reservation. However I called the Gray Hotel and the night receptionist Youness was very polite, professional and supportive. Fortunately we made it on the 6th but as it was midnight we were exhausted and hungry. Youness and Mohammed assisted us into our room, allowed us to get midnight room service and were extremely helpful in making sure we were comfortable. Yes the hotel is in the process of being renovated ( the stairways were cluttered with tools, buckets of paint and quite hazardous). None the less it being Ramadan the staff was extremely polite, courteous and helpful. Because the location was not on the main streets I thought it was quaint and relatively safe. The mascot cat was extremely welcoming!. Nabel in the restaurant was helpful by suggesting places open during Ramadan. He also served us excellent breakfast and the delicious Moroccan tea. Our housekeeper Houda provided us with much needed towels and coffee in our rooms, Though the hotel is not in the best condition, the warm, friendly and professional staff make the stay pleasant....
