Brand new with some teething problems. But very nice.
This hotel is brand new. I stayed here with a large group from a conference. There were some rather peculiar issues with some of the rooms which I will list, but in general this is a very nice hotel. The hotel has only recently opened and seems to have a large number of teething issues:..
One of the rooms we had, had no cupboards (perhaps still not yet installed?). Another room had an extra significant water feature that was non-intentional, a large flood and the ceiling collapsing in, they had to move rooms. The air conditioning in the rooms seemed very loud, and in some rooms it was just loud and not actually functioning. My room had a faint smell of sewage (I know this sounds bad but it was not really a problem). Every time we returned to the hotel in the evening our room keys did not work and we had to go back to reception to have them reset, we were told this was a 'general' problem. The internet connection was dog slow. The check-in procedure seemed to take an hour because the staff had no idea how to actually do it, and kept misunderstanding us. The breakfast was very simple and sparse. Not many options.
OK, apologies. I know that sounds like a lot of negative things, but I wanted to put the negatives first. Yes, there are some teething problems. This is a brand new hotel and we even had to ask them to activate the room safes before we could use them. I had the feeling I was the first person to ever use this specific room. The rooms I saw were all large and very nice, with very large balconies. The hotel staff are extremely polite and trying to be helpful, although not always as fast or understanding as we would wish (language barrier). (I asked for towels at one point at 6:00 p.m. And only got them at 9:45).
Regardless of all, the strange, weird issues we encountered, the hotel itself is very nice. Quite simple, fresh, modern and new. In fact, the bar equipment on the roof terrace, where the very small but delightful (ice cold) infinity pool is, was still wrapped in plastic. The spa was not yet open. All the spaces were clean, calm and pleasant. The pool area had some particularly amazing views. The hotel is also very well located for the financial and business areas which are popping up in this particular part of town and was therefore very close to our conference venue.
I would definitely stay again despite all the issues I have listed. I am certain that at some point they will start to understand these issues better and improve. They were particularly interested in feedback and clearly are just...
Read moreThe “rooftop reception” is honestly just a rumor. We came, it was empty, and when we left, it was still empty.
The service is painfully slow and far from professional. I asked for an extra chair for my bag, and the waiter simply pulled a chair from another guest’s table without asking or excusing himself. very disrespectful and gave me the ick. I felt embarrassed, like I was being represented in a bad way.
The juice glass was chipped on the rim, extremely dangerous! What if my lips got cut? Or worse, what if it was a child? Totally unacceptable.and the tables were weeet💀💀💀 at least wipe your tables .On top of that I told the waitress clearly not to put ice in my drink because I’m sick. Guess what? My drink came ice-cold anyway. They changed it, but it was still freezing, so I had to drink it as is. The pineapple juice didn’t even taste like pineapple. 💀
The cheesecake was tiny compared to the price, and to make it worse, it had a strange spicy/pickled aftertaste.not what cheesecake should taste like at all. 💀
My friend ordered something, and after waiting 40 minutes, the waitress told her the order was never placed💀even though she ordered before me. Please at the very least provide your staff with a pen and notepad to take orders properly.
The latte my friend received tasted like anything but a latte. 🤦🏼♀️let’s do not forget we barely see your waitress I don’t know where they disappeared. Even tho the place it’s very small 🙂
And finally, even the toilets are a mess. The toilet paper on the floor awiiiiliiii !! The lights only work if you stand right under the door the second you move to the sink or toilet seat, they switch off completely. What the hell in conjuring world is that 🙂🙂🙂I have no idea how your hotel got a 4 stars at this point
Overall, this place needs a serious upgrade in staff training, service,...
Read moreWe were really looking forward to our stay here, but unfortunately, this hotel did not live up to the 4-star rating it claims. We booked a double (matrimonial) bed, only to arrive and find two single beds pushed together — definitely not what we reserved. To make matters worse, the room keys never worked properly. Almost every time we came back, we had to go down to reception to get them reset. It's a small thing, but incredibly annoying when you're tired and just want to get to your room. Housekeeping has also been a major letdown. On multiple occasions, we returned after a full day out to find the room hadn’t been cleaned at all — towels still on the floor, beds unmade, bins not emptied. The shower is half broken, with barely any water pressure, making it hard to use comfortably. This kind of basic housekeeping should not be overlooked.
To make things worse, there were a couple of days when we came back to find the room door left open — clearly not closed properly by the cleaning staff. That’s a serious security concern and left us feeling uneasy about leaving anything valuable behind. At the very least, you’d expect some sort of gesture for the inconvenience, a complimentary breakfast, a free massage, or even just an apology, but there’s been nothing. It really feels like they just take your money and don’t care about the guests’ experience.
Unfortunately, this was not a 4-star stay in any way. Would...
