New spot in Casablanca focusing on chicken and treats, with an artistic direction and vibe inspired by places like Junk (Paris), Dumbo (Paris), Dogma (Paris) or even Supernova (London). On the mood side, they nailed it: great playlist, simple but effective decor.
The problem starts with the burgers and, above all, the management. When we arrived, we were told to wait 15 minutes for their homemade buns. In reality, it took 1 hour and 45 minutes from the moment we placed our order until we finally received our food. Every time we asked, the owner just said “10–15 minutes,” without ever owning up to the issue. Eventually, he even admitted they should have closed since the buns were out of stock but let customers wait endlessly. What’s most ironic is that the owners come from a well-known bakery family in Casablanca. If anyone should be able to manage bread properly, it’s them, yet this was their weakest point.
Taste-wise: the fried chicken itself was good, crispy juicy, but the burgers fell flat. The sauces lacked character, sometimes bland, sometimes overly spiced with no balance. There’s effort, but the execution doesn’t live up to the concept. And for the price, you’d expect at least one sauce to be included with the menu but no, everything is extra
At the end, they offered us a cookie as a goodwill gesture. Nice, but that doesn’t make up for 1h45 of waiting and poor communication. Instead of taking responsibility, the owner kept shifting blame to the chef or the baker. If you’re running the place, you need to own the problem and manage it not deflect.
A place with potential, but until they fix their organisation and customer approach, the experience remains...
Read moreAfter a two-hour journey, I arrived with high expectations. The staff welcomed me warmly. They were gracious, attentive, and eager to please, but unfortunately, the kitchen did not deliver an experience to match.
The portion sizes are astonishingly meager. I wasn’t expecting American-style excess, but charging 65 dirhams for what amounts to a miniature wrap accompanied by a handful of fries and a squeeze of ranch straight from the bottle feels indefensible. The wrap itself was diminutive, and to make matters worse, I was served the wrong filling : grilled chicken instead of the fried chicken I had ordered for my Caesar wrap.
My drinks and fries order was also mixed up, adding to the sense of disorganization.
To complicate things further, the restaurant enforces a curious policy: a minimum spend of 100 dirhams to pay by card. This is not a restriction set by banks, and for a modern dining establishment, it feels out of place.
The branding and marketing are sleek, polished, and promising. Yet, no amount of visual allure can disguise a fundamental truth : restaurants are judged by their food, and here, the flavors and value fall short of...
Read moreLoony is hands down the best chicken burger spot in Casablanca. There’s nothing else like it here. You can immediately tell it’s crafted by a chef with real expertise in fried chicken the crunch, the seasoning, everything feels perfected.
What impressed me most is the quality: they use premium ingredients, yet the prices are basically what you’d pay for a McDonald’s menu. That’s insane value for the level of taste and care you get. The owner also has a great vibe super kind, helpful, and passionate about what he’s building.
I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and not a single dish disappointed. One absolute must is the Cookie Bomb 😍 it’s next-level. If you go, I really recommend eating in the restaurant to fully enjoy the experience.
It makes me genuinely happy to see high-quality businesses like this popping up in my hometown. Loony is setting a new standard for casual dining...
