Hôtel Kenz Mehdia — Hotel in Mehdya

I’ve already been to Kenz Mehdia twice before and it was a decent experience on both occasions, but this year was a complete disaster. Apart from the Aqua Park, which was a pleasant activity for kids, in particular, the apartment was moldy, filthy, and the service was awful. I have literally had to make the trip back home in Salé to spend the night and then go back to Kenz the next morning. In the end, I was simply looking forward to leaving their premises and just going home with my family.|The beds were stinking with pee, the sheets were yellowish, stained and smelly. When my sister went to the administration to complain, the woman in charge of cleaning first refused to change the sheets, after she spread them on the floor for my sister to see, and claimed they were clean. We had to spend two nights with no sheets. I had to cover my pillow with one of my scarves to be able to put my head on it. As for the stinking beds, the same woman in charge, after admitting that kids do pee on beds, simply suggested that WE take the beds out to the balcony for some sunshine. During our 6-day stay, not once did any cleaner come to mop the floor or provide toilet paper. When my sister went to the reception for the sheets, she asked for a couple extra so that we could cover the living room stinking beds. Again, her request was rejected, and she was told that no extra sheets could be provided.|We asked for another apartment because that one (#2, on the ground floor) was full of insects of all kinds, ants, mosquitoes and some flying bugs we’ve never seen before. Of course, that request was rejected, too. We were simply told that we’d come late the first day, that’s why we got the worst apartment left, and that we should have come earlier. So it became our fault. Should there be a best apartment and a worst one in the first place? We’re all customers and we’ve all made our reservations and are paying the same price. Why should we race for our most basic rights? Very professional, helpful and friendly receptionist Latifa made us feel welcome, showed us around and recommended local restaurants. Decent free wifi, free parking. Rooms were very clean, beds were comfortable, good size with a view at the pool. Good price for value, great location - amusement park 1min away by foot, beach and lots of local restaurants nearby.
