Hôtel Riad Amlal — Hotel in Ouarzazate

My family of 4, (kids 11 and 14) stayed in Riad Amlal in January on our way back to Marrakech.

The rooms were clean, the large room for all four of us was very nice. Some things we loved about this Riad was the hot showers and great heating units as our time January could get cold. Dinner was good.

What I loved most about this was the location. This put us to a great start to tour the places in and around Ouarzazate.

Only improvement I would recommend was Wifi but I know they are trying and I am sure that is tricky with how thick the walls are. I have seen they are trying to add multiple networks and cover the space, but even then we struggled to connect our devices, which made it tricky to check into flights or download entertainment before our return flights...

I arrived in Morocco on Nov 26, 2022, and flew out 24 days later. I stayed in maybe 12 different hotels, and Hotel Riad Amlal was among the best values; when my travels had me back in Ouarzazate a week later I selected this hotel a second time! My top reason for recommending this hotel: its great location. It's next to the walking street, and just one block from the (sometimes noisy) main boulevard. Most of us are visiting Morocco in order to experience the culture; staying in a compound on the outside of town is missing the point of our visit! Fantastic place to stay. Quiet street. Brilliant staff. Plain, simple and spotlessly clean. Situated around 500m from the main square, 300m from a Carrefore market that sells alcohol. The rooms were very nicely decorated.Good shower. Kettle and complimentry bottled water. Great fridge and AC. I really liked the pool in the centre of the building. Breakfast was a little basic. Self serve tea coffee and juice. The main consisted of a single fried egg, breads pastries and jam. The staff were very nice and accomodating. I managed an early check in without problem and they kindly printed a document for me.

Only negatives - a bit noisy early in the morning. No bath mat or tv.
