This is a lively square where the residents of Ouarzazate visit every evening. It's lively with children playing so a good pleasent family friendly place to eat and relax. There are plentiful restaurants with outdoor seating offering everything from fast food to traditional Moroccan tagines. The prices of course are a little more dear than the rest of the city but you are paying for the experience and atmosphere.
There are also shops present selling the traditional items that you would expect.

Read moreThis is considered the main square and busiest street in Ouarzazate. When we visited during a national holiday, the atmosphere was calm and relaxed, with families out enjoying the space. Normally, it comes to life in the evening when it gets much busier and more vibrant.
The area feels very safe — we noticed shops leaving pottery outside even while closed, and no one touched a thing. Most parts of the square were clean and well-maintained, though there were a few spots that could use more attention, despite the regular presence of cleaners.
