Going to start with the one nice thing: the breakfast is cute and friendly staff ladies. Now breakfast is cute but it ain't good. 1 pain au chocolat and 6 slices of bread with either jam, butter or oil. Drinks is either tea or coffee. No matter how long your stay it will be that every morning. Rooms are actually clean. Worst thing though NO HOT WATER. Throughout our stay only showered with hot water twice and the rest was either cold or cold (came in winter and temperatures were around the 10°C.... With cold showers lmao) . My friends room had water leaking from the roof in the bathroom and speaking of bathrooms they are tiny. Probably too small for midgets. Read moreI stayed in the Hotel Royal for two weeks while finding a place to live. It is a charming riad style hotel with a central courtyard with plants and birds to accompany you as you eat breakfast. It is very centrally located and reasonably priced. The rooms are well fitted out with a strong sense of tradition in the carpets and interesting historic photos of Oujda. My only complaint was that the hot water for the shower was not always available. AC works really well, and the sheets were clean. Some rooms have access to a balcony ( ours had one, the street view at night was amazing ). However the bathroom is really tiny, you can barely move around! And the shower was cold, we visited on July so it was no big deal, but I wonder what it would be like during winter 🥶. The interior is very modest and vintage, such a vibe honestly!
ps: watch out for the cigarettes smell, also, the price...
