I returned to Yadanar Theingha in January and am happy to see consistency since my previous visit a few weeks ago. All hotels vary by standards and customer expectations, but I personally feel that staff professionalism is of utmost importance. Yadanar Theingha staff are uniformly polite, willing to assist and have a friendly attitude. They greet you with genuine hospitality. When I asked for an extra pillow and an upright chair for the table, the room service staff, who had just arrived to clean the room, immediately rushed with a smile to fulfill these requests in just a few minutes. The breakfast waiters anticipate my previous day's favourites, ready to unobtrusively request if they can help to provide the same. This all shows good hotel management, where appropriate staff training is delivered to all employees. I suspect there is good monitoring. The hotel, with its green tree dotted grounds, flowers, ponds and geese (see photos), has a quiet, relaxing ambience. It's a great place to unwind. The extensive grounds are good for a stroll or jog. Some apartments are clustered together, though noise of other guests is never noticeable. There's space to park your car outside each building. Security is good with guards positioned near each cluster of rooms. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Daily brushing and mopping of the floor by room service using a mild detergent, deters any ants or bugs, which is important if you have electronic devices. Perhaps the addition of a small soap dish next to the basin in the toilet would be helpful, as would a door stop attached on the toilet wall to prevent the door banging against the wall. If you love a peaceful sleep, Yadanar Theingha won't disturb your night by traffic honking, late night drunken guests, mobile sounds, dogs barking, crows squawking, pigeons cooing, cocks crowing, or other unwanted sounds that plague light sleepers. In the early morning, beautiful bird songs accompany the walk to breakfast. The large buffet breakfast is tasty, varied and filling. There's a good balance with enough healthy fruit, juices and yogurt (see photo) to add to the usual main courses, followed by deserts, tea and coffee. There's a different variety each day. The Egg Station is a nice touch (see photos), where any type of egg concoction can be freshly made. The early 7 a.m. start will be helpful for some. The hotel is located a leisurely 15 minutes stroll from the Junction shopping centre. The pleasant walk is best taken following one of the small roads running parallel to the main dual carriageway. This route is partly under shady trees with hardly any traffic. Walking along the west side on a clear day in the late afternoon, the setting sun colourfully highlights the varied roadside flora. The nearby tree-divided main road has light traffic, so never really spoils the walk - there's virtually no traffic honking compared to cities such as Yangon and Mandalay. The side road is suitable for joggers due to low traffic pollution. Granted, it's not rural countryside, but you would be hard pressed to find a quieter capital city anywhere in the world. At Junction, there's a variety of small eateries, designer and gadget shops. Inside, Ocean Supercenter provides a wide range of food, clothing and other household items. Just before Junction is another shopping complex with many clothes and food shops. SP Bakery is situated here. The buses from Yangon pass by the hotel. Arrival and departure by bus is easily arranged if you request a drop off/pick up right outside the hotel (or at Royal Nay Pyi Taw, a few minutes walk away). Staying at Yadanar Theingha allows you to relax, forget your worries, and recharge. Value for money. Highly...
