ETERNAL LODGE BAGAN — Hotel in Nyaung-U District

The staff was very helpful and friendly. They let me check in very early (7am). The room I was given (101) was basically as the pictures show. The mattresses are very worn and the tv only got analog channels which didn't matter since I didn't come for the tv. Shower had good water pressure and hot water if wanted. The drain was a hole at the bottom of one of the walls. I think mosquitos where coming in through the hole. The room smelled a bit musty and although the AC worked well it didn't help remove the dampness from the room. I ended up leaving the door open for a couple of hours as I had no window. Because my room was close to the reception desk there was quite a bit of noise coming in. Overall fairly average facilities but...

Located in New Bagan, the place is close to many good restaurants and not at all isolated from the rest of what Bagan has to offer. The rooms are not top natch but still good enough to satisfy your needs. Helped us book our next bus and offers rental scooters....

Sadly our Room had no windows which is why our shower was moldy (see picture) and the Appartement smelt very damp. The only upside is the very friendly staff. If the ventilation of the rooms is improved and antifungals are used it will be a very nice...
