Look Myanmar Inn — Hotel in Nyaung-U District

In New Bagan, Look Myanmar is ideally located to explore the lesser-known and less crowded temples. Of course, the well-known sites are just an e-bike scoot away. A charming local neighborhood, New Bagan hosts a bunch of quaint open-air restaurants, perfect for washing down the local fare with a cold beer.||Of course, New Bagan is the epicenter for stupa-hunting and temple chasing. That’s why I’d suggest staying for at least three nights at Look Myanmar.||What a treat this bed and breakfast is. The rooms are clean, cozy and cool. The breakfast is phenomenal: fresh fruit, pancakes and a surprise side dish everyday such as avocado salad or a shot or ginger juice. Try the eggs Myanmar style for an added kick to your morning.||I suggest starting your morning at 5 a.m. to hit a few temples under the stars which fade away as the gorgeous sunrise gives color and depth to the stone. Then, grab breakfast before heading out for round two.||The owners, two of the kindest and most genuine folks I have ever met, will give you tips to different sites. They can also organize flights and transportation to your next destinations. We spent three nights at the Look Myanmar Inn located in New Bagan. The location is on a residential side street with housing and small shops as neighbors. While It was not unusual to have dogs barking and roosters crowing in the morning and early evenings, the overall setting was quiet and peaceful. The Look Myanmar is just small enough to offer that personal service that is so important for a pleasant stay. Bikes are available but we preferred to get around by scooter, which was provided at a very low price. When we arrived from a long day on the road we where warmly greeted and taken to our rooms, simple, light filled and clean.||This place has a really good energy, lush and green with plants and I had the best sleep since travelling accross Myanmar.||Breakfast is simple, you can have eggs to order, toast, fruit or local breakfast, but what makes this place is the staff, they are clearly passionate about Bagan and the heritage and where always warm and responsive.||The location is fantastic, you are spoiler for choice for restaurants and souvenir shops.||The team at look hotel deserve great ratings, the only feedback I'd give which wasn't a big deal is a room safe...
