Hill Top Villa Vacation Home — Hotel in Pathein

We stayed at Hip Top, it's really nice Bungalows located 5 minutes by walking to the main beach in Ngwe Saung. But: Only cold water, bathroom lock broken, not clean, bungalow need repairs. Close to mainroad, noisy. Wi-Fi not work, electricity works only between 8:00AM and 6:00PM. Neighbor hotel using generators all night, noisy and not easy to sleep. Cold shower can be really chill in Feb. What really bothered us was we arrived at 3pm at night, was coldly treated by the owner who was still up for chi-chatting with girls, but refused to tell us we could use the hammocks to crush on until next morning. but watching us wandering around and finally squeezing us on cold bench. Yet, officially we can check in @12:00, but until 12:30am the rooms were still not ready for us. Ironically, asked us to check at 10:30 am for freeing the rooms for the ones who were waiting for checking in. Hill Top is a very good deal compared to the accommodations in Ngwe Saung, but it doesn't mean I have to bear with the bad attitude and service. So I don't recommend...

Not as advertised. "Sea view" is a bit of a stretch. Non-existent WiFi, neither in the room nor the restaurant. Roof was leaking so it leaked into the room when it rained. Shower head was pointing up, which led to awkward showers. Light was flickering like in a horror movie, so left it off to avoid the strobing effect. And the price they quoted me was different then what was booked on Agoda, so had to argue that back down, though even that is too much for what you actually get. The staff itself, though, was friendly, but that's unfortunately the only good thing I have to say; thus...

We came to the top hill resort to try the special mojito. Jimmy the manager made them and other cocktails amazingly well. He entertained with a fireshow, played music we liked and even cooked for us delicious fried fish. We decided to stay one night in a bungalow. Which was basic, with a bathroom and a mosquito net. The generator was running during the night so we could have the fan on. The generator made some noice. I could sleep very good but if you're sensitive I would recommend to sleep somewhere else and just visit Jimmy and his amazing Bar. P.s even shisha...
