JL Lodge Hotel Ngwe Saung — Hotel in Pathein

A nice hotel/resort. The cabins are clean and of reasonable size. Bathrooms have a reasonable size. The staff is very friendly. The food a la cart is great! We had a seafood platter twice, which we really recommend! Just let them know in the afternoon what you would like to eat and at what time that evening, so they can make sure to go and get you fresh fish in time. The only point of improvement would be breakfast. Although it's reasonable, the same as most hotels in Myanmar. But it could be better. Lots of Burmese food for breakfast, but the bread is a bit sweet, the scrambled eggs usually a bit cold and dry. The location is good. Not close to the village with all the other tourists, but right next to lovers island, where you can go snorkeling. If you walk a few minutes on the beach, you'll have a private beach. We stayed 6 nights and we would recommend this hotel to anyone! The swimming pool is clean. The resort was almost empty when we were there, so we had the whole pool to ourselves. But if the hotel would be fully booked, it would be too small. And also there are only 4 sunbeds. Oh and across the hotel there is a really really good restaurant called Thai Chai, for ridiculously cheap prices. Their curries are amazing. Everything is fresh. The owners are really kind and will help you with everything you'd like. We also tried the restaurants next to the souvenir shops, but the food there was really really bad (and more expensive). I stayed during my holiday time in Ngwe Saung! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staffs. Amazing Place the Lodge is very Beautiful the people take care of the propperty very well with love and good energy. The stuff is super friendly and always here for any Question to help. Great recomendations for places to visit. The owner of the place take us a half day on a private Kanu(boat) Tour on a seecret lake in the jungle behind the Lodge.
