Lover View Pool Bar and Bungalows — Hotel in Pathein

The place is pretty bad to be honest. I must admit, we did not pay much for the room (17$) but still, it wasn‘t a nice experience at all. The local staff is extremely unfriendly compared to the rest of the people of Myanmar. They don‘t seem to be treated very well by the guys who run the place. (Just a feeling...) The interior of the room was the complete opposite of nice and cozy. The matresses are more or less directly on the floor and the other furniture consisted of cheap plastic chairs. The bathroom floor was dirty. They only have electricity from 6 PM to 6 AM and the rooms get burning hot when the AC isn‘t running. The said they have motorbike rentals but the only bike they had wasn‘t working and the bicycles they promoted were broken as well. The breakfast was included, but the staff did not bother at all to serve breakfast and thus it took me quite a while to order something. The only option then was simple fried rice with egg. The whole place is still under construction and we actually had to be super careful to not hurt ourselves since most of the paths to the rooms were falling apart. No good hotel. So bad hotel and bad service in my life.They don't give early check in.if u want,u need to pay 15000ks for early check in.Mostly can check in early because a lot of express car arrived early. We request two plate,bowl and glass to reception. One staff name Thin Thin,she said can't sent to the room.Just only two plate is ok.She pick down the phone when we talk not yet finish. When we go for breakfast, no more.Can order just one fried noddle.After come back in my room,not have our wall let.we call manager and discuss with them.Later 20minute we take back from security. Only wall lat,we can't get money.We r sure keep in my room our wall lat.Room window can open,not have lock.But this hotel management is not have any responsibility ,not apologies and not fine who is thief. We loved LV so much! Nice bungalows with comfy beds, great AC (only at night, but there’s plenty to keep yourself busy during the day), pool with a gorgeous sunset view, great restaurant (try the veggie burger, it is so delicious), bar with happy hour, friendly atmosphere (lots of families, backpackers, and Myanmar tourists), and really helpful staff (they helped us organize 2 different day trips, scooter rental, & bus tix back to Yangon). super close to the beach. Reliable wifi in reception and restaurant areas, laundry on site. The generator only comes on at night (Ngwesaung has no electricity), but it’s no problem in a place with so much to do! Lover View is a quick tuk tuk or scooter ride from the village, where you can get a massage, go shopping for souvenirs, or find some more restaurants....
