This place is an absolute gem! The staff, accommodations, and rooms are fantastic! From the moment I arrived I was greeted by the sweetest and must beautiful staff. They truly are such wonderful people. I had a beautiful room (Room 101). Honestly, it completely exceeded what I had expected. The rooms are beautiful and so cozy. Breakfast in the morning was very good. You have many different options, and you are always greeted with a lovely smile by the girls who work there as they serve you. The WiFi in the rooms is not good, but there is excellent wifi in that dining area and garden. Also, it is not well publicized, but they have a beautiful rooftop with pretty good wifi! I would go up there early in the mornings or the evenings to catch the sunset. You will really enjoy it. The beach is only a 5 minute walk away. So easy to get to. Also, I have to mention this, cause I love dogs, but there is a lovely light brown stray dog who often frequents the hotel. Please be kind to him and if you can, give him some food. He has the sweetest personality but you can tell he has difficulty finding food and often gets hurt by other dogs and or people. He is often afraid people will hurt him so he is hesitant to approach you. However, a little food and some kindness to him will have him trust you and within a few short days he'll come to greet you everyday waging his tail. He watches the hotel at night- I know cause I've seen him sleep by the entrance door. I also want to mention two people in particular: Zin Mar (a staff member) and the hotel owner. Zin Mar is staff member there and quiet possibly one of the hardest working staff I had seen. Anything I needed, she was right there to help me. Her English is very good, so if you have any questions you can always ask for her. The hotel owner, shame I did not get her name, is such a lovely woman! Warm-hearted, kind, and honest. She exudes the true beauty and character of Myanmar. If you need anything at all, simply ask her. She is guaranteed...

Or you go to the, 400$ per night, hotels restaurants, but they prices are European prices (66$ = about a dinner for two)||- the high class hotels speak very good English so for help you can go there||- they also treat you like one of their own guests (except for their pool)|on the last they they told us we can't even use the towels or benches on the beach. So we realized, that we "illegally" used them the whole week. (They gave us the stuff we needed, thinking we were customers of their hotel)|So be aware that you might not have anywhere to sit at the whole beach. Also not a tiny...
Read moreWe booked into the budget room for our holiday to Ngapali beach. As another reviewer commented the room is small and dark with no window except in the bathroom. While we were fine with this, we were unable to cope with the mould coming out of the air conditioner. After one night in the budget room, we both woke up feeling incredibly ill. We requested to change rooms immediately. The staff were friendly and helpful and moved us to one of the standard rooms which was of much better quality. The staff tried their best to be helpful but it was hard to explain that the budget room we'd been in was uninhabitable due to the mould and there was no management staff available. Also, there was a lot confusion as to the price we'd be required to pay for the "upgrade" room. We ended up talking to the owner on the phone who was in Yangon after two days of trying to sort out the prices, as we refused to pay double the cost of the budget room when our upgraded was only $5 more on agoda nor $18 per night. The owner asked us to speak to the manager who was also not on site. We arranged a time to meet with him the same day to sort everything out however, he never showed up. The staff called him after him being 45 minutes late but by that time we'd had other plans and had to leave before he arrived. When we got back he had finally come and sorted it out with the staff but this was after two days of stress and trying to explain everything to so many people. The lack of management availability to resolve this issue put quite a damper on...
