This delightful & luxurious Hotel is so good, it makes you think what on earth can other more expensive Hotels be offering.||||Just sit in the open-air reception and watch new guests arrive and look at the bewildered & overwhelming smiles on their faces. They simply can't believe how good this place is.||||The villas are no more than 2 mins from the beach and you can hear the sea all day & all night which is very relaxing. The beach attached to the Hotel is by far the best stretch of beach in Ngapali and the sea beautifully warm with a nice gentle slope from the shore.||||Our villa had an outside bath and an outside separate shower which was a first for us and it was beautifully styled and furnished. A real class act.||||There is a complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport which makes things very handy and a really nice dinner service although there aren't many tables round the glittery pool, so booking in advance is essential.||||The breakfast is also very good although, a better choice of fruit juices would be appreciated. When this is the only thing that you could fault the Hotel for, you know that this is a very, very good Hotel. It may not be the most expensive but it is certainly the best.||||Word of warning though and this relates to Ngapali more than it does to the Pristine Mermaid. Make sure you go in Feb or March when the weather is good as there is nothing to do in Ngapali apart from...
Read moreI stayed with my wife for 3 nites at this beautifully designed Mermaid Pristine hotel resort this week!||Actually I had booked a partial ocean view room, but when I saw the ocean view suite I decided to pay an extra money of 120 USD per nite to get it!||The room was beautifully designed, the infinity pool was very elegant (dont know if you can say that for a pool!), the food was not that great bit not that bad, « « « « BUT » » » »we had a real problem there: the bathroom and shower was set outside with no roof, and we were unable to fillup the bathtub with hot water more than 10cm high! Not enough hot water the management said! The size of the electric boiler was for 50 litres and the bathtub could receive 300 litres, so you can imagine that it was impossible to take a bath; and it was a real pity coz that bathtub with open air style bathroom (no roof) it would be a great romantic spot to view the moon and other stars... frankly at that price (around 300$ per nite) not able to take a hot water bath was a scandal, especially My Japanese wife couldn’t bear it.||So next morning the hotel M&E came and installed a new boiler of 100 litres, but still couldn’t fill up the bathtub with warm water no more than 20cm high....||When I paid my bill, there was no commercial feature at all, even though I asked for it to he Russian lady manager...||So this place is recommended only for quick...
Read moreWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pristine Mermaid after a shaky start when we were shown to our room only to find that it had not been cleaned from the previous visitor. This was fairly quickly rectified but not the start we had expected especially as the hotel had collected us from the airport so knew of our arrival and it was past check-in time.||The location of the resort is excellent, well maintained, very friendly staff, good breakfast, plenty of available sun loungers and restaurants within an easy walk.||We only dinned in the hotel restaurant once as we found the local restaurants were superior and at a fraction of the cost.||Our partial sea-view cottage was spacious with a lovely outdoor bath and shower. We were surprised that there was not one drawer in the cottage, just shelves and an open hanging rail.||A quiet and attractive resort that suited...
