Lagoon Ngapali Beach Lodge — Hotel in Thandwe District

This is one of the smallest hotels on Ngapali Beach. As soon as you arrive, you feel being part of the family. The young and energetic General Manager U Thet Khine and his very young, helpful and friendly staff have created an oasis of peace and relaxation on one of the most beautiful beaches of Myanmar. We were lucky being offered a free upgrade to one of the sea view rooms. ("Garden view" rooms on the opposite side might be affected a bit by the moderate traffic noise from the road - similar to all of the hotels in this area.) Beds are comfortable, breakfast was abundant. We especially loved the local treats like Mohinga (fish soup), which came one day in its Myanmar version, and another day in its Rakhine version. Free WiFi is available and very good. Communication with the hotel was excellent, and we were extremely thankful being offered free shuttle service from and to the airport. The Lagoon Ngapali Beach Lodge has authentic, well kept and clean Burmese rooms, yet with modern amenities like very reliable A/C and hot and well pressurised water.||||It’s not a western run and standardised hotel chain that tries to imitate some local flair. The Lagoon caters to both Burmese and foreign tourists and especially during the national holidays you will find many Yangonite visitors there. ||||The young owner is full of enthusiasm and puts a lot of energy and soul into the place. We stayed here for 4 nights in February 2020.||We must have had the best room as it was on the 1st floor and the balcony over-looked the beach just metres away.||The room was very spacious as was the bathroom. Although the bedroom had better features. The bed was very comfortable. Wonderful big windows for the stunning views. ||The service was great throughout, including turndown service.
