Lakeview Lodge (Ngapali Beach) — Hotel in Thandwe District

Very stylish and luxurious hotel with moderate prices. We felt comfortable in our room, which was clean, had a big bed, a very clean and chic bathroom, a minibar and an amazing view. We had big windows which reached down to the floor and beautiful wooden shutters. The lodge provided a laundry service which was very convenient for us.||Breakfast was also delicious, with german bread, granola, cheese, yoghurt and fresh fruit, eggs and pancakes. The pool area is beautiful and we had the possibility to book massages for a very resonable price. The hosts were very welcoming, picking us up from the airport and providing support for activities in the area. We went on a day trip to a lonely beach which had fine white sand and a natural pool. All was organized by the hosts. They also organized a trekking tour for us, we were picked up by the guide at the lodge and drove some miles to the start point. So everything was very stress free and well structured. Ngapali beach is 10 minutes by walk and I enjoyed walking there in the afternoon. However we also rented an eBike from the lodge to discover the area a bit by our own. ||From the terrasse in front of our room we could watch the sunset beautifully while having a wine and chit chat a bit with other guests.||For me it was the perfect location to unwind and relax. We stayed just over two weeks at Ute & Frank's place and absolutely loved our stay. It is located on a hilltop about 400m from the main road providing a stunning view of the lake and sea. The place is beautifully designed to a very high standard and great attention to detail. The furnishings are high quality throughout with nice, thoughtful touches. We stayed in "The Dog" which has an exceptionally spacious terrace (the reason we chose this particular room). It was really fantastic although you need to be aware that anyone can use the terrace as a walk through as the house can be accessed from two sides. The house is very much designed as an open space with a terrace which wraps right around it so each room has access to the terrace with super comfy chairs and sometimes daybeds. The main property has a shared terrace with the most significant views and sunsets which can be used by all guests. There is also a nice swimming pool to cool off in . We researched the accommodation options carefully prior to booking and can honestly say that we think this is the most beautifully appointed place we came across and truly unique.
